Positives- great views( top floor) clean room, very hot showers, comfy bed, very quiet, good size room for price at this location, 7 minute drive to shops restaurants etc. Negative- lady at reception, lack of heating in room, lack of ventilation in bathroom, freezing in bathroom, bar fridge that made dripping sound all night.

Our family has stayed now each June for three years at this motel. It is an old motel but well kept, very clean and comfortable and serviced each day by very pleasant, helpful staff. The situation of the motel is second-to-none with a fantastic outlook over the adjoining valleys. These views may be particularly enjoyed if you request an upper-floor... More

I travelled to Tamborine Mountain with a large group of family and friends. We choose to stay at Mt Tamborine Motel because it is conveniently situated right next to St Bernards Hotel, where we attended a wedding. It is an older style accommodation which is well set out, very clean and was serviced daily. It was lovely sitting on the... More

Whilst Mt Tamborine is generally expensive I find it hard to believe that $180 a night can be charged for such incredibly basic accommodation with wafer-thin walls between the tiny rooms. Fortunately we only wanted a place to lay our heads for the night otherwise I would not have been a happy bunny to pay that much for somewhere, which,... More

My husband and I recently spent 6 nights at Mt Tamborine Motel. Its an old place but the beautiful location makes up for it. The room we had was clean and comfortable but basic and it was cleaned everyday. Every morning we could have coffee sitting out on the balcony just looking at the wonderful greenery and wild life. Then... More

This place smacks of managers making an effort. It wasn't built yesterday, but it's clean and comfortable, and the people go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and look after your needs. The door to our room was a couple of metres from the swimming pool (very nice) and the front led onto a lovely semi-tropical garden.... More

we recently spent 7 nights at Mt Tamborine Motel. The rooms are cool in the heat and it was great to be able to open up both doors - main door and balcony door and let the lovely mountain breeze flow through the room day or night. There was definately a family atmosphere with the rooms being clean and tidy... More

Close to near where we needed to be it does have nice views from the upstairs rooms. The bathroom could do with some work: flushing the toilet resulted in a wonderful "pipe symphony" which got old pretty quickly. I was given a late check out which was helpful to us. The room was, overall, tired. Not cheap but accommodation is... More

My partner and I recently stay at Mt Tamborine Motel. Chris and Vicki the owners were very friendly and helpful. We looked at a number of options and found this to be the most reasonably priced accommodation in the area. The view from our upstairs room was magical - even the downstairs rooms have pleasant views of the garden. Our... More

The rooms are basic, we arrived on a cold night and there was only a one bar electric heater for the whole room. However, the staff did bring an extra heater when requested. The towels are very thin, there is no heating in the bathroom and you are limited to 4 minute showers and have to wait 10 mins between... More
