We were looking for a B & B close to Wallingford as we were taking part in the Civil War Re-enactment there and chose The Grange at random. Didn't we strike lucky. From the minute we walked through the door and were greeted by Graham & Cherry we felt at home. Graham was very helpful and sorted us out with... More

Owners were very nice, the breakfast very good and the location very pretty. I just felt the accommodation needed a thorough spring clean and updating. My mattress was uncomfortable and the bathroom and wc cubicle needed a good clean. If you are going to charge these prices the standard needs to be much higher.

We had the double en-suite room at the back - small but functional. We found the bed uncomfortable, despite assurances from Graham that it was very comfortable - I spent the night avoiding a spring. The shower cubicle was dirty on the surfaces and the bookcase dusty. The duvet cover was stained. At breakfast we were shocked to find the... More

We arrived quite late and were made instantly welcome by our hosts Graham and Cherry (and the dogs :-)...) and Graham could not have been more helpful ensuring our old car was parked off road. The room was perfect and exactly as we expected in such a lovely property. The same can be said for our breakfasts - exactly as... More

I am not sure if David of Bangor stayed in the same place as me, as I had a very enjoyable stay if not a little short. I was in Didcot on business for the next day and found Graham's property on Late rooms. I was welcomed by Graham, he even stood out side his house as I do not... More

I stay in Oxford often on business and decided to try this B&B after seeing it on the 'Four in a bed' series. The house itself is very nice but i have to be honest and say i was very disappointed with the hosts. Graham and Cherry obviously do not enjoy this business anymore as it is for sale and... More

A beautiful Georgian house in an attractive village. The owner was well-meaning and friendly but could do with updating his attitudes by about 50 years; he lamented to my partner that the Chinese takeaway in the village was, "without meaning to insult your people" rather mediocre (she's from Kent). A more serious drawback is the fact that the main road... More

I was looking forward to staying here, with my partner and baby. On arrival the owner wasn't in and had to wait in car. Very limited parking, the room was small. In the morning the breakfast wasn't great and then the owner charged us an extra £10 for our baby who didn't eat anything and the owner knew on advance... More

It's a beautiful building, with a farmhouse / informal feel with dogs wandering about etc. No fuss, just friendly easy people to stay with. Nice and quiet, good breakfast, easy to park out front, free wifi (though not the fastest), curry place next door, I really liked this B&B. It added to the quality of my life rather than detracted... Stayed three nights, Graham is a gracious host. The Grange is a charming old house, the village was idyllic with lovely pubs either side of the accomodation within walking distance with very welcoming landlords. Off road parking, free WiFi, nice hot full English breakfast. Beds were very comfortable, ensuite bathroom is was a little tight but served a need.
