First, I do not understand the on-going complaints about no AC in the room - we definitely had one and it worked... The hotel is situated atop a small hill, giving spectacular views over the country-side. The whole combination of old and new is perfectly well executed. On arrival we learned that a wedding party would be held in the... More

A group of 8 friends checked in to this hotel for two nights; it commands marvelous views of the valley below, and it is clear that a great deal of money has been spent on this place. The rooms were comfortable, but no A/C, which is essential on sweltering summer nights. The bathroom well appointed, and the public areas clean... More

First down at check-in, no English newspaper. First up, the room is large and has a nice view over the countryside and the towns of Suessen and Salach. The bathroom is very modern with a big fancy shower. At the price of 190 Euros per night, we thought we had AC but the fan failed to cool the room... There... More

I did not stay at the hotel but visited the restaurant at lunch time. I can kind of expected some special lunch deals as it is pretty usual in other starred restaurants but to no avail. Nevertheless, the location and view from the terrace is stunning, service is attentive, professional, yet warmhearted. Food in general was great. Loved the little... More

We didn't stay at the hotel but I want to review the restaurant. My partner's family have been dining here for years and loving it so I was so excited to go for the first time on a Monday evening whilst in the area. The vegetarian menu looked brilliant and, being a chef myself, I was overjoyed to finally be... More

For my wife and me this hotel used to be very special. We had been here on two previous occasions. When we decided to get married we wanted it to be very private and special: a ceremony down in the village of Salach, and two perfect days at the Hotel Burg Staufeneck. We booked the suite and special dinner months... More

There is noting negative to say about this hotel: Service cleanliness & food all very good: We were there due to flight delay because of volcano in iceland: You could be stranded in worse places! Shame there was no swimming pool:, but that said it was all good!

My partner and I attended one of the best weddings we have ever been to at this wonderful hotel. This was my first ever trip to Germany and I was enchanted. This hotel is fantastic. The food is the knock-out. The service is slick beyond belief. Lovely views. Great rooms with superb bathrooms. Fun small spa.
