I was invited to a wedding reception in this newer addition to a castle built in 1080! Part of the ruins is still visible with the newer hotel and restaurant. Gorgeous setting in the foothills of the Swabian Alps. Outdoor patio and restaurant with windows overlooking the landscape with roaming deer and views of the town in the distance. My... More

On the way home from the North we wanted to take a stop-over in a nice, relaxing place. We choose this place without looking too close. What did we find? a most attractive, beautiful, relaxing Hotel. The site was grand: overlooking Goppingen and all the various hill ranges up to the far horizon. The room was of a good size... More

The hotel is in a beautiful area and is well maintained. Everything is clean and very luxurious, not only the rooms and facilities, but also the outside garden area. They even have a gated area with deer (super cute animals, could not eat them though). The staff is very polite and helpful. We had the lunch menu there, but also... More

We were invited for a party with dinner in the barn of the hotel. It was beautifully decorated, service was excellent, food likewise, which means a lot as we were a party of over 100. Breakfast the following morning also top! Service as service was invented!

Situated on the top of a hill, among the ruins of a 13th century castle, Burg Staufeneck is a romantic hotel for special occassions. The rooms a nice and spacious with beautiful views into the valley. The staff is as friendly and helpful as you would expect it from a five star restaurant. To pass your time, you can hit... More

My husband and I stayed at the Castle Hotel for 2 nights. What a wonderful stay! The views were amazing and the rooms were great. It's a great stay for a romantic getaway. The only down side for me was that in the evenings the bar was empty even though the staff is there until 2:00 am! Still, it was... More

Situated near a ruin on a hill, this hotel is special because of its unique setting. If you have something to celebrate or just want a special treat, this hotel makes your wish come true! We stayed at a spacious apartment because it has no carpet but a wooden floor instead. The beautiful interior is designed in a contemporary way.... More

First, I do not understand the on-going complaints about no AC in the room - we definitely had one and it worked... The hotel is situated atop a small hill, giving spectacular views over the country-side. The whole combination of old and new is perfectly well executed. On arrival we learned that a wedding party would be held in the... More

A group of 8 friends checked in to this hotel for two nights; it commands marvelous views of the valley below, and it is clear that a great deal of money has been spent on this place. The rooms were comfortable, but no A/C, which is essential on sweltering summer nights. The bathroom well appointed, and the public areas clean... More
