Our ten-day stay at Chateau Villars was exceptional in every way. Seven family members occupied three of the five beautifully decorated bedrooms at the chateau. Kevin and Bill were friendly, witty hosts who couldn't have been more accommodating. They provided early breakfasts when we took day trips, supplied sensible suggestions for sightseeing (they know the area well) and even arranged... More

From the moment each of our number of resident guests consisting of French/English friends and family totalling 17 arrived we enjoyed the most friendly, courteous welcome from our hosts Bill and Kevin. Our every need was catered for during our weekend-long Golden Wedding celebrations. Our friends were delighted with their rooms each decorated in wonderful style with towels to drown... More

Travel back in time to the rural countryside of south western France...lush fields of maize and sunflowers, weekend antique brocantes, weekly produce markets in THE MOST PICTURESQUE VILLAGES, most excellent venues for the artist to journal, sketch and plein air paint, outstanding Bergerac wines, local produce and especially foie gras! The chateau is YOUR home in France hosted by Kevin... More

Good personal service from the 2 english speaking owners. Attention to detail was excellent as dietry requirements are all catered for, notably Coeliac. A lovely, relaxing holiday.

From the moment you turn into the tree-lined avenue until you are looking at the same view in your rear-view mirror, you wil know that you have found a very special place. Kevin's warm welcome on the steps, the lovely decor, the comfort of the rooms, the fabulous gardens and pool, the 'honesty bar' policy - you could imagine this... More

When my wife was diagnosed as Ceoliac we were lucky enough to locate the Chateau via the net and TripAdvisor. A decision that proved both wise and most enjoyable. Our stay with Kevin and Bill exceeded all our expectations. Having travelled the world and stayed in some of the best hotels, none of them matched the standard or service received... More

A superb week in the French countryside. The food is out of this world and it is gluten free. The opportunity to eat dinner, some nights in the dining room, some on the terrace or at a barbeque by the pool is not to be missed (and breakfast and lunch were excellent as well). The rooms are very comfortable and... More

We received a warm and personal welcome from the moment we stepped out of the car, and this was the hallmark of our stay (8 days). This is an elegant little chateaux. tastefully decorated with everything you need. Kevin and Bill are attentive but never intrusive, and you are made to feel that you are the most important guest. There... More

Kevin and Bill have converted an old chateau into a destination place. We and our two children had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it!
