Was staying at a nearby cottage and was recommended this pub so decided a Saturday night dinner was in order! Especially as they welcome dogs. Was pleased to find a proper charming country pub that made me and my dog feel very welcome. The bonio's went down well with her and my food was delicious! Will be returning!

This is a good pub that caters for locals and tourists alike, giving both a warm welcome. They do good food and good beers. They will be able to do even more when they have completed their building work soon

We have just had a short break at the Fishermans Return and we found all the staff to be very helpful, friendly and pleasant. There is significant building work going on to provide, among other things, a much bigger kitchen which will help them to cater for the large influx of summer visitors and avoid such long waits for food.... As we are hoping to move to Hemsby in the new year, and were coming to measure up etc, decided to stay local for a long weekend. Great choice, this is a lovely traditional country pub with a good selection of real ales and excellent food. Although working with a reduced menu and from a temporary kitchen, (due to building... been here several and always been pleased with food. Ordered "pea & Mint" soup - which was actually "soak" peas not cooked enough. Was equivalent of eating hard tinned marrow fat peas. Left it as I was expecting soup! Rest of meal was ok.

We last visited this pub nearly a year ago and omg what a change has happened. The atmosphere has gone down even more than then. The owner and staff were unsociable, food is not what is advertised "fresh"!! The locals are not welcome in there a handful go in that is all. As regards the destruction of the 130 year... More

We were staying local and decided to give this pub a try for dinner as it allowed dogs in. What a find!!! Although it is obviously a local pub , as outsiders we were made to feel welcome. The food was well presented and very tasty. At the time they were using a temporary kitchen with a reduced menu due... More

This is a traditional pub serving a good standard of food and lots of locally sourced choices. We are a family of four, and they accommodated us with a toddler and baby no problem. The meals were presented well, very generous and tasty. Nice to have some real food options for children too and not just the usual nuggets/chips/beans type... More

"Lovely pub, in a beautiful village! " Quite misleading !! With a few restaurants, we chose the fishermans return! We ordered our food at 8:15pm, we waited an hour and watched the pub empty. We asked the waitress politely how long our food would be and she returned to say two mins. This then turned into another 10-15 mins .... More
