Thoroughly recommend the Dabbling Duck: friendly service, interesting menu and good food at affordable prices. We'd booked a table for four, arranging to meet friends who also brought their six-month-old baby. High chair was swiftly provided when we explained we had an extra guest. And one of the jolly girls serving behind the bar insisted on searching for cucumber ice... More

Just returned from enjoying the very best Sunday pub lunch! Quirky, bare wooden tables, interesting pictures, maps and cartoons. Food outstanding!! Sizeable portions, most unusual but well chosen menu choices and most interesting flavours. Very friendly and efficient staff, I cannot wait to return!

The pub is warm and cosy, popular for its inventive food and good beer - rightly so in our experience. We decided to stay overnight and the rooms were very pleasant indeed. Nice little touches such as a fruit vodka in the room. What really struck me was the young and hard-working staff, who were friendly and helpful, despite being... More

This was my 3rd visit in the last six months, but the 1st for Sunday lunch. The beef and potatoes were perfect. Service was great as was the atmosphere. I really like this place and a wander round the duck pond always makes a great afternoon after food. Can't recommend this place enough.

We spent a night at this cosy pub on Boxing Day evening. We ate burgers in the restaurant. Just a simple dish but really tasty. Great meat, a taste of chilli which was either in the burger or cheese on top and a really nice relish. The mulled wine chocolate tart with clementine flavoured sorbet was different and really nice.... More

Stayed here last night having previously dined here. First the food, there is a really attractive menu with unusual variations, chunky chips and chip shop curry sauce as a side was a winner, but it is one of those (rare) menus where you wish you choose more than one starter and main, pudd looked great but could not manage any... Stayed here for one night at beginning of december on a secret escapes deal. It was exactly what we were looking for for a romantic trip to the country. Beautifully designed, comfortable rooms in an adorable village. The staff were really lovely and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was amazing, such good quality, generous portions... More

We visit relatives in this area several times a year, but have had great difficulty finding reasonably priced accommodation that isn't chintzy, 'twee' or downright old-fashioned and uncomfortable! Secret Escapes came up trumps with The Dabbling Duck.....situated in a pretty village, opposite the church, this boutique style inn was just perfect! Large(ish) room at the front of the hotel with... Set in a stunning location by the village pond I stumbled on this traditional but cutting-edge Gastro-Pub by chance. With fantastic Woodford's Wherry beer and Adnams ales this cozy but spacious dog-friendly Gastro paradise is a culinary diamond in the East Anglian flat lands near Sandringham. Sat by the roaring fire in leather sofas drinking fantastic beer on a winters... More

We spent a 4 day break here in November after seeing their discounted offer via Secret Escapes. It was a pub of real character with excellent accommodation and staff that would do anything for you- nothing was too much trouble. The food was of superb quality with an extensive menu. As newcomers to Norfolk we had a great time exploring... More
