I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine, who described the food as 'simple but good'. We booked a table for Friday 18th July and were greeted by a friendly landlord and landlady - he had a good sense of humour and she had a face full of smiles. The food menu was varied, with a handful... More

The best dinner to be had in Burry Port. Delicious chips. Waiter very friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. Would definitely eat here again if visiting the area. Toilets spotless too- always a good indicator for a good place to eat.

Booked 11 people for 50th birthday in advance, was asked how many steaks we needed! obviously need to see the menu, surely you're allowed to choose at the time. Meal was booked for 7pm, took our order at 7.45pm, were very quiet so why the delay? After ordering 4 steaks were then told there were no more, bear in mind they... More

Just had food here and I got to say I thoroughly enjoyed every piece. Service with a smile, very reasonable price and I can well recommend 'The Neptune burger' with real homemade chips. Full to the brim now, thanks

We had not visited Burry Port in quite some time, walking up from the harbour we passed Neptunes which looked very inviting. We were not disappointed the food and service were excellent and we will certainly recommend it to friends anf family!

We chose the Neptune mainly for it's close proximity to the train station and the excellent reputation it has for it's food! On arriving we were shown straight to our room ( room 2) which was-in my opinion-very spacious for a twin (plenty of room for me,my teenage son and all our stuff). The room was very clean, warm and welcoming... More

Excellent food. I recommend you don't sit near a doorway if you feel the cold. Try the Eton Mess it's delicious! It was very busy - Sunday lunch - our party of 9 were chatting to each other and so we coped okay with the extended wait for food. As with the previous review, one (albeit charming) waiter is really... More

The Neptune was extremely busy and perhaps extra staff were needed. However the food was excellent and the two guys serving did a fantastic job with humour. Little touches like the posy of fresh flowers on each table and the cupcake in a pretty box for each Mother made Mother's Day special. Hope to be back soon.

I'm not a big fan of pub sunday lunches as it seems that marrying quality with catering for large numbers of diners is often hit & miss. Not so with The Neptune. All of the ingredients were superb and cooked perfectly and brought to the table quickly for our group of 14 people......no mean feat. Service is excellent and at... More
