A very dated Travelodge which needs refurbishing. Duvets were stained. Bathroom was grotty. Sofa mattress badly stained! Was ok for £15 one night stay after a shopping trip but would rather pay a bit more next time and stay at Stonedale Park Travelodge which is much better.

After reading reviews after I had booked, I was rather worried. What is everyone complaining about? It's a standard travel lodge. Very basic and good value for money. If you want fancy book a Hilton. Great location for the blue planet aquarium and Chester zoo. Room just like any other travel lodge I've stayed in.

This is one of the worst Travel Lodges that I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. The adjoining Little Chef (Litttle thief) was all boarded up and gave a very bad impression of the Travel Lodge. The impression though was indeed very pertinent to the so-called hotel. The shower did not work and there was no tv remote.... More

We have just returned from a stay on the Wirral, one night in Eastham. Maybe nothing can be done about the approach to this travelodge (the Little Chef is closed and boarded up) but its not very inviting and you do wonder if your car will be safe being left there all night, once inside although the staff are very... I booked this as a base to visit Chester to do a little Christmas shopping. If Travelodge has come to this then i'm afraid it's all over for them. Our room was dreadful. The flush handle wasn't attached to the toilet. The prehistoric TV simply didn't work and there were no batteries for the remote. The nice girl on reception... More

When we pulled up at night to this travel lodge we were wondering if our car would still be there when we came back in the morning! The Little Chef looked so run down, we wondered if it still operated. The receptionist was very polite and friendly. The room disappointing. It was basic and wasn't that clean. The pillows had... Sadly, I can agree with most of the comments by the other reviewers on here.. When I arrived I was informed that I didn't have a booking and I was asked if I was sure I had the right hotel. I handed the receptionist my booking printout and there was a lot of head scratching.. She first rang central reservations... More

Upon check in the computer system was down. The friendly girl behind the desk was very apologetic. Eventually keys issued and off to room 24 (family room). The bath had hairs in it and more hairs stuck to the bathroom wall. The room Had stains on the ceiling and walls. Raised our concerns and the polite reception staff issued us... More

The only positives I can think of it that a bible was provided (and i'm not even religeous), tea and coffee was there and, hopefully, the sheets were clean. There was a constant smell of damp and I only weigh 6 and a half stone and the bed could barely take my weight, nevermind two people. Yeah there is TV,... More
