I have written a seperate review abut the so called "spa", as it clearly isnt. But this review is about the aftrenoon tea and tour. the tea was served in the library which was a lovely setting. Thee was plenty of food, and it was all very tasty, shame the cakes were clearly out of a packet, but still nice.... More

We had afternoon tea here and a tour of the castle which was very interesting. The afternoon tea was delicious. Lovely, friendly staff. We were also booked in the spa which was quite disappointing as I have never known a spa without pool, steam room or sauna (or any of the other spa facilities!). They have treatment rooms but that... Attended a wedding here in September which was amazing. Food was fantastic, staff couldn't do enough for you and the rooms were gorgeous. Decided to take the family back for a meal this month. The staff really go the extra mile here and you can't beat the location. The food was fab and the chef catered for our little ones.... More

We are a little bias on the place as my wife was born here when it was a maternity hospital in the days of yore, but I think I can still be objective. We stayed for my wife's birthday and having informed the hotel that she was also a Hazelwood baby she was presented with a lovely hamper. A very... More

Reading the reviews I thought I would give this place a try while on business. The Castle is in beautiful surroundings and is very comfortable inside. My room was a standard room ,well appointed if rather on the small side for two people.Toilet / shower room which was very clean. Good bed and linen. All the staff were very friendly... More

Stayed a few times with my dog. Very accommodating staff, beautiful surroundings, and rooms very good. One negative...I stayed in courtyard area and there was a car parked outside my window on two occasions, spoiling the view, however once I mentioned this the staff sorted it out quickly. Good food and very pet-friendly. Highly recommended.

Great location if you like the country lanes wonderful decor beautiful building check out the different day rooms each one appears to be imported decor from another castle or elsewhere The restaurant is well worth a trip and in the summer it is a real delight to have aft tea in the garden
