We returned to Hazlewood exactly a year after our amazing wedding. Melissa Hamer had very generously arranged a complimentary meal and a special rate for us to stay over night. It was lovely to see the same very high level of customer service is provided by everyone a year on. This is from the staff on reception to the waiting... More

We discovered one of Yorkshire's best kept secrets when we were looking for a wedding venue. We were blown away at the first visit. We have visited many times since everything from a quick coffee (with a cream tea of course!) to a romantic weekend and finally our wedding. The wedding was fantastic and we can not recommend it highly... More

I went here with my mum and sister as a birthday present for my mum. We used the spa facilities and had afternoon tea in the library. The castle is beautiful as are the grounds. The spa had a cosy and calming atmosphere and the hot stone back massage was fantastic! There was a slight mix up with the afternoon... More

We had a truly wonderful wedding here in August. We only have praise for the wedding coordinators Kelly and Heidi and their team who ensured that everything ran smoothly. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Any problem was resolved immediately (although there were not many) The atmosphere was relaxed and we were all able to enjoy the beautiful venue... More

Stayed overnight last night and enjoyed a wonderful wedding of a friend. We booked a wedding rate double room for £99 inc breakfast. On departure the receptionist charged my husband standard rate which I then had to go and rectify and ask for a refund of the difference... When she looked on the system she realised it had been changed... More

We spent 1 night at this amazing hotel for our 29th wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and the setting and gardens are breathtaking. Our suite in the Castle was very traditional and in keeping with the hotel. It was large and very light and airy with a lovely comfy bed. The food was wonderful and I would highly recommend... More

We left Hazlewood Castle this morning, have had a 2 night stay to attend a wedding. The castle is a beautiful place to hold a wedding. We travelled 7 hours to attend and enjoyed the time we spent with our family. However, we were very disappointed with our room. We were allocated a 'Master Suite' in the building outside the... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay at Hazlewood. I am sorry that I didn't have the opportunity to speak to you on the morning of departure to discuss your comments as I personally like to speak to guests about feedback rather than speaking to them after the event. Firstly I am delighted that you... More

I married the man of my dreams on the 24.07.14 at Hazlewood castle. We had the legal wedding in the castle and a blessing in the chapel with farther Ian. Farther Ian is one of the most amazing men I have ever met! He made the service beautiful, funny, individual and we can not simply thank him enough. Planning the... More

Me and my husband return for our anniversary and it was another 5* stay for us. We were welcomed by lovely friendly staff. On this stay we chose the old tom room. It is one of the new rooms and it was lovely, looking out onto the grounds. A lovely touch was a card wishing us a happy anniversary and... More

......if you are wheelchair bound, don't bother. We attended at a wedding, one of our party being disabled and wheelchair bound. The access to the chapel was via a steep step, with no ramp provided. Therefore the wheelchair had to be lifted into and again out of the chapel. Once out of the chapel, there was no direction for disabled... More
