We very much appreciated the warm welcome afforded to us by both Management and staff (not to mention the fabulous log fire) and we were especially grateful for the way the chef catered to our special dietary needs. However, despite the price charged for the accommodation being towards the upper end of the scale, cleanliness of the room allocated to... More

Our third stay at the coach inn, this time for our wedding anniversary (we had our wedding there too). We were going to stay one night only but stayed for a second night. Adrian and Sue and the team are fantastic and make sure you are well looked after. Delicious food, huge lounge with massive open fire and excellent accommodation... More

We were really looking forward to staying here during our trip in mid March 2012 for two nights - and we weren't disappointed. Our experience was just stunning and the staff were fantastic, catering to all our funny little quirks with utmost respect and great service. We were the only ones (three adults) in the whole place on the first... More

I can hardly believe that this kind of place can exist in New Zealand. It is isolated, rustic and yet has the most genuine first rate hospitality that stays with you forever. It is elevated in tussock country in the high country sheep station / conservation boundary. The ambience in the bar lounge is old world charm and the restaurant... More

Our group of 2 Americans, 2 Australians and 2 Kiwis drove out to Dansey Pass for dinner on the recommendation of a local from Nazeby. It was quite a drive through back country. We never passed another vehicle, it was a stunning, isolated location, a hotel full of history. Very large lounge, with a roaring open fire. A great place, wish... More

Somebody in a cafe at Cromwell recommended this place, we were looking for something like a log cabin or something authentic with a big open fire, very hard to find in New Zealand apparently... Well, it definitely had an open fire.. or five... Amaaaazing !!! I still cant stop thinking about this place. We went to Naseby to have a... More

I have stayed here several times. The buzz I get when I drive around the corner and am confronted with the Inn at point blank range, never lessens. It must have been such a great sight for weary travellers in the coaches in years gone by. From there on it just gets better and better. The bedrooms are beautiful. How... More
