Booked for a one night stay for a visit to Chester Zoo in the morning. Nice clean friendly pub with accommodation. No food served here but plenty places nearby. Car park at rear and wifi available too. Rooms nice and clean good shower. Plenty tea/coffee and milk in room. Great shower too. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

The hostess was very friendly and accommodating about having our bikes inside the pub to keep them safe. She made us feel welcome. The triple room was very spacious with modern decor and comfy beds. Bathroom was amazingly big and had everything we needed. We felt well rested for our major cycle the next day. Highly recommend this place!

We were on a Land Rover experience day six miles down the road from the red lion. This pub offers reasonable priced family rooms for three people. The staff are very warm and friendly. Rooms clean & good showers. Free wifi & bus stop for chester just outside.

We had room 4 it was spotlessly clean and the deco was lovely light bright. The bed was comfortable and the fan was a god send. I was gutted that there's no food available in the red lion cause it's a lovely little country pub best of welcome but owners did recommend local restaurants and the village chippie does a... More

Light and comfortable rooms but lacked simple things like a waste bin, extra glasses, more plug sockets etc. Not a bad nights sleep in a quiet village close to Chester. No food available, which probably needs to be changed soon considering the price of the room. Would recommend for one or two nights tops.

Me and my boyfriend stayed her for Valentine's Day, from the outside we were expecting a bog standard hotel but our room was amazing! We were in the big family room and we had a very large room and the bathroom was absolutely massive with separate shower and bath and a huge space. It was very clean and telly in... More

We needed somewhere to stay after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks and found this little gem of a pub in a quiet little village. The welcome we got when we arrived was very warm and friendly and the room clean and comfortable. There is no food offer but plenty round about to choose from and to be honest it's... More
