We had room 4 it was spotlessly clean and the deco was lovely light bright. The bed was comfortable and the fan was a god send. I was gutted that there's no food available in the red lion cause it's a lovely little country pub best of welcome but owners did recommend local restaurants and the village chippie does a... More

Very lovely and welcoming people really interested in knowing about their guests. The locals are really nice. The pub was beautiful, large selections of drinks and snacks. The room was amazing very clean and tea and coffe provided as well as hair dryer and shower gels etc. bed was a bit creaky and an extension cord plug wasn't working. The... More

Light and comfortable rooms but lacked simple things like a waste bin, extra glasses, more plug sockets etc. Not a bad nights sleep in a quiet village close to Chester. No food available, which probably needs to be changed soon considering the price of the room. Would recommend for one or two nights tops.

Me and my boyfriend stayed her for Valentine's Day, from the outside we were expecting a bog standard hotel but our room was amazing! We were in the big family room and we had a very large room and the bathroom was absolutely massive with separate shower and bath and a huge space. It was very clean and telly in... More

We needed somewhere to stay after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks and found this little gem of a pub in a quiet little village. The welcome we got when we arrived was very warm and friendly and the room clean and comfortable. There is no food offer but plenty round about to choose from and to be honest it's... More

We stayed at this hotel as we had a wedding 10 minutes away (abbey wood estate) at first we though just your average bog standard hotel cheap and cheerful I am pleased to say we were pleasantly surprised at this hotel a real little gem! Our room had the comfiest queen sized bed we've ever slept in and overall the... More

We stashed here recently when going to a local wedding. The people who run the red lion were brilliant, and accommodating. Went out of there way to be helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfy, the shower was good. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

A great welcome from the family who own this Inn. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Great value for money and we would certainly stay there again. The location was close to Chester and easy to find.

I really enjoyed my stay ta the Red Lion in Tarvin, this local pub with rooms is brilliant and great value for money. The welcome was the warmest anyone could wish for by the owners and the locals. The room was large and comfortable with excellent comfortable bed with crisp clean linen, the room had all you required, even a... More
