Me and my boyfriend stayed her for Valentine's Day, from the outside we were expecting a bog standard hotel but our room was amazing! We were in the big family room and we had a very large room and the bathroom was absolutely massive with separate shower and bath and a huge space. It was very clean and telly in... More

We needed somewhere to stay after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks and found this little gem of a pub in a quiet little village. The welcome we got when we arrived was very warm and friendly and the room clean and comfortable. There is no food offer but plenty round about to choose from and to be honest it's... More

We stayed at this hotel as we had a wedding 10 minutes away (abbey wood estate) at first we though just your average bog standard hotel cheap and cheerful I am pleased to say we were pleasantly surprised at this hotel a real little gem! Our room had the comfiest queen sized bed we've ever slept in and overall the... More

We stashed here recently when going to a local wedding. The people who run the red lion were brilliant, and accommodating. Went out of there way to be helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfy, the shower was good. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

A great welcome from the family who own this Inn. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Great value for money and we would certainly stay there again. The location was close to Chester and easy to find.

I really enjoyed my stay ta the Red Lion in Tarvin, this local pub with rooms is brilliant and great value for money. The welcome was the warmest anyone could wish for by the owners and the locals. The new landlords very helpful in advising us on places to visit and we enjoyed a nice evening in the bar and even joined in the... More

Stayed here whilst visiting Chester and attending a wedding. A nice change from hotel chains. The landlord and Landlady are very helpful and accommodating. Tea and coffee in the morning with a very good breakfast served next door. Taxi into Chester cheap and reliable. Overall a great weekend, thanks

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting the Kelsall Steam Show and the Kelsall Hill Horse Trials. Staff were very pleasant and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Have read some reviews that say it was noisy but at the end of the day we are staying in a village pub! The pub closes at 12.30 so its not too... More
