This is a wonderful and remote country hideaway which is owned by a family who are the perfect hosts. The service is relaxed, friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes the great outdoors and likes to be away from the crowds. The views from the hotel and the surrounding walking trails are extremely special... More

It was great to be back at the Posado de Cucayo with Tina, Ana & all the family for 5 more days. The drive up to Cucayo was as spectacular as ever, the highpoint being the views by the Dobres tunnels. We were speedily settled in to our, quiet, and comfortable room, which as ever has amazing views of the... More

In the summer we escape to La Posada del Cucayo to enjoy nature in a fantastic setting. We like the family atmosphere and friendly accueil at La Posada and spend the days outside and the nights chatting and resting. It is a very special place, far from the crowds and yet not difficult to find. Highly enjoyable.

Well, what can I say? This family ,house, food, village, mountain and local people all stole our hearts.Tina, Alberto Anna and their dear Mother run the beautiful Posada de Cucayo. It is literally on top of a mountain beside the Picos de Europa .We arrived and immediately Tina recommended a wonderful mountain/forest walk which we did. When we got back the fire was... More

We spent one night in June. The day we arrived, the fog was so thick we had to drive quite slowly to get there. But it was worth the wait. Such a warm and cozy place, you immediately feel like you've been there for a while. The ladies of the house (who speak enough english for the non-spanish speakers) truly... More

My husband and I were only here for two nights during a two-week long honeymoon in Spain--next time we'll devote a week! As one other guest from Valencia put it, this location is practically within the Picos de Europas yet there are no crowds. It's truly a hidden gem. We drove 12+ hours from Barcelona in one sitting to get... More

In the middle of Picos de Europa and far from anything that might remind you of the modern world, you will find La Posada de Cucayo. I stayed here one night in May 2013, and had a wonderful stay. This is the kind of place you want to return to. The rural hotel is right by the winding road, with... More

This little family run posada in a little village up in the mountains is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are large and very comfortable. One can sit and watch the views on the mountain all day, but walking around the area is very pleasant too. The family is very friendly, very helpful and try to accommodate your every... More

This small privately run hotel is in a spectacluar location surrounded by mountains and with an abundance of wildlife. For anyone seeking a peaceful location this can't be beaten - don't be put off by the lenghty drive to this mountain village. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Food is fresh and largely locally sourced. The owners & staff went... More
