We stay at Durdle Door campsite, drive down here for dinner/drinks & some walk back, home made food (apart from some items on menu ie: vegetarian sausages/kids fish) we had chicken curry & vegetable curry (yum) but kids fish & chips wasn't as expected (reconstituted fish not proper fillet) overall good experience...

It is our first visit to the Lulworth Cove area and we walked down the road to the local pub. We and our dog were greeted by friendly locals and staff and had a very pleasant meal. We would definitely recommend 'The Castle Inn' and we will return.

Only stayed for one night. Bar and beers were nice apart from smell of cooking oil(fryers). Took a chance that it was 'dog friendly', as that shouldn't stop the room from being clean. Dog hairs everywhere! Did not expect this at & £95 a night. Lovely place to stay if you can put up with this!

Went to the Castle Inn because it was dog friendly. Well it might have been dog friendly but not really customer friendly. Lovely sunny day so sat out side. They might have been busy yesterday for the bank holiday but surely they could have swept the outside seating, food detritus and cigarette butts. For a dog friendly pub all water... More

Their website says 'dog friendly' and they are, if you're looking for somewhere to have lunch after walking your dogs on the cliff tops, then look no further. Really good choice of food, good portions and good selection of ciders, friendly staff... Living in the County I have to say I've not been here before, but pretty sure we'll be... More

Had a few nights here in a damp cold Easter week and found it very friendly, warm and inviting. Good choice of beer and over 40 ciders including a tasting tray to try three different ones. Some parts of the pub a bit draughty so would stay in the main parts by the bar. Food nothing to write home about... More

Spent a Saturday night here and have to say was very disappointed. Room was very outdated and in need of decoration and the bathroom was even worse with no enamel on the bath. Towels must've been at least ten years old. Awful smell of cooking fat throughout hotel. Decided to have dinner in the bar and was extremely unhappy with... More

We stayed here in October last year to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. As the dog is very much part of the family it was only right that he should come too. From the moment we arrived all the staff looked after us wonderfully. All the rooms (3 doubles) were comfortable and en suite and the dog had plenty of... More

We booked a last minute break with our dog. I must start by saying the staff were very friendly and helpful and the dog was made to feel welcome. We understand it is a old pub and the bars are pleasant enough but the room we were in ,although clean enough, was very small and very dated, the furniture was... More

Having read the trip advisor reviews it was with some nervousness that we checked into this pretty thatched pub a 10 minute walk away from Lulworth Cove and with good access to the coast path. Actually, that nervousness was misplaced - this is an ok place to stay - not fantastic, but certainly ok. The double room @ £95 was... More
