We spent a week-end at La Sage and enjoyed staying at this very homely place. The owner is a very nice lady and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. Dinner, served in a romantic dining room, was good. We had a dog with us and he was welcome as well. The hotel is very simple, no luxuries, but clean.

As part of our 11 day trek of the Haute Route this hotel was our shelter as we raced in out of the rain. A cup of tea was our welcome from Pretti who runs the hotel. This has got to be a first for me on arriving at a hotel. Nice touch. Great shower and efficient heating made for... More

Wow, 3 days into the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt and this lovely hotel couldn't have been a more pleasant surprise! Pretti and her husband who run the place where helpful, polite and charming. Together with super nice bathrooms (read huge bath!) and an excellent included meal, we were thrilled. Many thanks for a great night on a long,... More

We were originally booked elsewhere on this day of our hike but decided to try to see if we could get in. Because of three cancellations that day, we were able to get three rooms at a good rate, especially since it's very early in the hiking season. This was our "rest day" and we had hiked from Arolla. We... More

Nice clean hotel, good dinner and breakfast, nice dinning room and lounge room, the staff are very friendly. Rooms are well heated so it's easy to dry some clothes if needed. There is a shared top floor available where rooms are private but a big TV, kitchen, and bathroom is shared. I had a private room with bathroom. All were... More

Hotel De La Sage was one of the best nights spent on the hike. Host was super nice and made us feel right at home. She offered us a free upgrade since it was very early in the season and we were the only ones staying and the room was amazing. Great view, huge bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast... More

Unfortunately we only stayed for one night as we were on a tight schedule, and catching a flight to Montreal from Zurich shortly after. We had heard of this hotel from friends, and it was as charming as they said. What a location!! The views from every window were literally breath taking. You had to stop and take a moment... More

I had long wanted to take a trip to Evolene and see this previously unvisited area of Switzerland. The Hotel de la Sage looked absolutely charming as did the village of La Sage which is elevated quite a way above Evolene. The hotel did not disappoint in that it is a charming and sympathetically restored building. It is several stories... More

We'd been hiking the Haute Route and every place we had stayed along the way had been hostels or pensiones. This place was a real hotel with individual rooms, en suite and even bathtubs. What a nice place. The place was pretty well deserted, except for us, since it is the end of the season. Glad they stayed open as... More

Our stay at Hotel de la Sage was very relaxing. Our room was great and very clean. The hotel has great history to it. And we loved their lounge room, it was very relaxing with awesome views. The family that runs the hotel were all very friendly and helpful.
