We stayed one night in September last year to celebrate my wife's birthday. We know the area well and had travelled down from our holiday home a short distance away. We had a very pleasant stay - the room was well appointed and comfortable with access to a little roof terrace with nice views over the garden and pool. Our... More

This tiny "hotel" located in a pretty park, is charming, but the overpriced rooms lack TV and airconditioning. The hotel claimed that there was wifi in the rooms, and my laptop could also find it, but it was impossible for me to actually connect to the outside world. Friends at the hotel had the same problem, so it was not... More

We stayed on night because of a celebration in their Restaurant in the evening. It was a very hot day and night no air condition or ventilator in the room. They advertised wifi in the room, did not work, had to sit in the reception area for wifi. No tv in the room . The price difference between the summer... More

Stayed here for three nights and would happily have stayed longer. Situated in quiet area, with vineyards and walnut orchards close by. Pleasant, clean, room with spacious well equipped bathroom and patio area. Covered swimming pool nice touch. Good food, utilising local produce. Campsite nearby for hire of kayaks, bikes etc.

Four of us stopped here for lunch. The tables outside in the garden are delightful and the service very friendly and competent. One of us wanted a vegetarian meal and although there was very little suitable on the printed menu they proposed and provided alternatives which were excellent without any fuss.

We have just stayed 4 nights at the "Clau del Loup" and it was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Both the building itself and the large surrounding gardens with swimming pool and terrace were an absolute delight. Inside there is a lovely gastronomique restaurant and throughout the Hostellerie there are top quality fixtures and fittings. Our bedroom had... More

My wife and I were guided to the Hostellerie Clau del Loup by friends who have been spending a sabbatical year nearby. We had a delightful lunch there, for a very reasonable cost, which included an unlimited supply of a very pleasant rose. Although one does not find it listed among TripAdvisor's rated restaurants it truly deserves to be there.... More

We have just returned from a 4 night stay here, we have stayed here before in May this year. It is a perfect place for a few days , it takes us about 1 hour 20mins to drive here from Bergerac Airport with hardly any traffic on the roads. I would endorse everything the previous reviewer had to say about... More

We stumbled across this superb little hotel completely by accident (almost literally too) after a faurly disasterous night in another local hotel. At a guess formerly the local landowners house, the hotel which is access via a stone staircase is small, very special and in my experience quite unique! On arrival the welcome was incredibly warm - with us instantly... More
