Our party of 6 have just stayed for 2 nights at Crab Claw, each couple had an elevated cabin behind the pool area at $180.00 per night. First impressions are great, lovely spot, great views, peaceful and relaxing. The young staff were delightful but the attention to detail of just the basics was pretty disappointing. The cabin was very tired,... More

Crab Claw Island is located about 130km from Darwin at Bynoe Harbour and is accessible by normal car although there is some gravel road. It is primarily for fishing enthusiasts but we still had a lovely, relaxing time there. There is a campsite and some basic, elevated cabins set amongst palm trees and overlooking one of the pools. Or you... More

If you're staying some time in the Top End, and need a place to completely rest and chill out, then Crab Craw Island is worth a visit. It's not an island at all but was known as Brown Point until about 30 years ago when a small resort was first established on the southern side of the upper reaches of... More

We sailed to Crab Claw for June long weekend and my wife towed the camper around. Camp ground was tidy, cheaply priced with adequate size sites. The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous and the food was great. The restaurant was at capacity the entire weekend and the staff coped well under load. All in all a great weekend.

Took the family there a few weeks ago and we loved it. Use to come here years ago but it got too expensive and a bit run down. Apparently it was sold late last year and the new owners are obviously spending some much needed funds on the place. We hired one of their brand new boats which are fantastic... More

Paid $200 per night for beach front cabins. Very overpriced. Bathroom so small literally you couldn't swing a cat. Rooms very tired. Pools small. Bynoe Harbour not much to see re bird or animal life. We didn't catch any fish but that's just the way it goes. The best thing about Crab claw is staff who were friendly and helpful... More

My partner and I stayed at Crab Claw over the Easter weekend and loved it. We brought our boat and went fishing both days. We didn't catch anything (except lots of catfish!) but the view was amazing, the staff were so lovely and attentive and it was such a great vibe. We will definitely be back. I think people forget... I came here for a mid-week break with a friend last week and we both loved our stay. The staff were really attentive and accommodating to anything we needed, and the restaurant was reasonably priced and was really nice food (and great portions). The pools were well maintained and a good size. The rooms were very, very basic, but were... More

In June this year we where traveling with friends and booked two spots at Crab Claw for a week. We had booked well in advance and explained that we had large vans and needed a 10m long site to fit our van and an 8m site to fit our friends van, we where assured that they had sites for us.... More

Having lived in Darwin for almost 30 years this is the first time we made it to Crab Claw. The setting is beatiful and the beach front units are totally beach front. THe restuarant is very good and reasonable priced and the pools are lovely. But the rooms were very poor, the setting rates a 5 but the rooms at... More
