We have just returned from a few days away and it was a surprise from my husband for my birthday. A deal of two nights with breakfast and dinner and tickets to Blenheim. We loved the look the place as we drove up and were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Our room was large, very clean and nicely presented... More

A characterful old place but in need of refurbishment to justify it's price point. Car parking limited and might be a problem at times. The four poster room is a good size and the bed very comfortable but the decor is a bit tatty and the en suite needs freshening up. The two day inclusive break rate was just about... More

Excellent value on a Travelzoo deal. Standard bedrooms adequate, very comfortable beds and lovely large fluffy bath towels. Evening meal first class with very pleasant staff. Good selection at breakfast buffet. Included with our deal was free tickets to Blenheim Palace. Great value.

This was our second visit and the first time we stayed in a standard room, which was fine. This time we upgraded and it wasn't worth the extra outlay! The only real upgrade was a king-size bed.A,"hospitality tray" was mentioned. It's the same one as in every room, with tea, coffee etc. On the + side:the food, including a freshly cooked breakfast, was excellent and we asked the... Nice bar with a good range of beers. Very pleasant dining room. Food was generally good but the fish whilst beautifully cooked was accompanied by a rather greasy salsa and no bread was offered it had to be asked for and consisted of slices of bread?! The room was a tad on the small side and not very well furnished... More

On arrival the day before my wedding (and on my birthday I might add) I was shown to my premier room which I was told was the "bridal suite". The room although adequate in lounge space, had a very small bathroom. The room was not nearly large enough to accommodate myself and my bridesmaids to get ready in. The room... More

Having reviewed this incident in detail, I believe my manager dealt with the situation extremely well with your best interests his main priority. Suffice to say, your bridesmaid filled her bath until it overflowed and did not report the problem. As a result your room was flooded but we were able to move you to an alternative room. The bath... Stayed overnight on a Bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. I expected to find a basic B&B but was pleasantly surprised. We had a room in the courtyard attached to the bar/restaurant. Double room which had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities and spacious bathroom. Even a fan as it was a hot day. Dinner was a... More

At £130 a night this B&B is very overpriced. The rooms are tired, basic and desperately in need of an update. Bathroom had mould and beds were very uncomfortable. Hotel generally noisy with lots of doors slamming. Breakfast was a disaster and we had to wait an hour for ours with rude staff telling us it wasn't their fault -... More

Family get together for a family wedding nearby. Thursday and Friday night wedding package stay. Rooms were very warm and it was not a warm day. Ground floor room suffered from creaking floorboards from above (rm18) got moved to an unmade room got moved again which was ok. Breakfast service was very slow, 30/45 min wait some of the party... Thank you for staying with us and I apologise that all was not to your liking. The Deddington Arms serves a traditional English Breakfast freshly plated for our guests. Unfortunately your party all decided to have breakfast at the same time and we couldn't cope with 50 plus guests at once. With better planning we could have served a buffet... More
