Arrival::: It was very good, easy to find and looked like a nice place. Parking was easy. Reception:: staff were very welcoming and very helpful, even if they seemed to be rushed of their feet. Room :: Number 20 On entering it was really nice. A small downstairs seating area with a TV and a nice settee. The bedroom was... More

We called for an evening meal, not knowing what to expect. We received a warm welcome, and immediately felt at home. They obviously take a pride in their restaurant service, and the quality of their food, and we were more than pleasantly surprised at the value for money of both food and drink. We enjoyed our visit very much, and... More

We stayed for 3 midweek nights with friends on a Travelzoo deal which included tickets to Bletchley Park. We chose premier rooms, and at a cost of %7 pppn for DB&B it was excellent value for money. Deddington is an excellent base for visiting the NW Cotswolds, Stowe Gardens, Waddesdon Manor, Bletchley Park and much more. Staff were, without exception,... More

We met friends here for a catch up on news along with an evening meal. We are frequent visitors to this small group of hotels however we found this meal to be totally lacking in flavour. My soup had all the right ingredients but .......can't quite put my finger on it, it just wasn't 'right'. Three of the four of... More

Stayed at the hotel with another couple and a deal through Travelzoo, at a very reasonable price for two nights bed, breakfast, evening meal and tickets to Blenheim Palace. Meals were excellent, choice of breakfasts including full English. The evening meal menu provided was the same each night but with plenty of choices. I had the salmon both nights as... More

We recently had lunch in the Deddington Arms. They have a really reasonably priced 2-course lunch which was really nice. Staff were all very friendly but it was quite quiet on the weekday we went. They also have a really rustic bar area as well as the bistro style restaurant.

Was OK. Sandwiches nice, scones and cream fine, shame no homemade jam, cake adequate. In a poky dark corner when the Resturaunt was empty. No choice of tea was offered and with loud 'background' music.

We had a 2 night stay at this lovely little hotel. When we arrived we found our room to be above a very noisy outside extractor fan. It wasn't too bad when the windows were closed but when open it was intolerable. We went to reception and have to say Sandra could not have been more helpful. She had no... More

We called in for dinner here the other evening because they were advertizing "Moules and Frites" for £10. We found the atmosphere in the dining room sadly bland and , dare I say it, a bit "package-deal pub-ish (that is, very decent, unoffensive, a bit "colourless" and...BO-ring). Food? OK....(my husband enjoyed his moules. My salmon, unobjectionable, was totally forgettable--Although the... More

Hi Barbara - as a Deddingtonian of many years you have seen the Deddington Arms grow from a village pub when my wife Sue ran it to a 27 bedroompub/hotel/restaurant. I'm delighted the Moules were enjoyed - I don't think we would have received an AA Rosette or a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence if our staff were not working very... More
