In the 4 months I worked in the area, the Deddington Arms proved a useful bolt-hole for the slightly longer stays. Reception is always efficient and helpful on arrival (and eparture) and the rooms (26?) vary from small but comfortable to very spacious suites, all set in a courtyard of converted stables, etc. The hotel prices (other than corporate discounted)... Stayed here for a night while on business in the area with colleagues. The room was pleasant, if a little small. The bathroom was tiny without a window, but nothing too bad. I had a ground floor room that faced the car park, which was bathed with orange lighting all night which did leave the room a little too bright... More

Visited for a family lunch. The quality of the food was very good, complemented by friendly efficient service. We mixed and matched the set lunch menu with the a la carte menu. The rib eye steak was excellent and was served with a small jug of peppercorn sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was of equal quality. Good value for money.... More

Deddington is very pleasant, and tea was ok, but didn't compare to others we've had: Afternoon tea should be an occasion, with china teapots constantly refilled. The sandwiches were very good, but three of each of three types between two people? Surely an even number of each type would make more sense. The scones were a bit disappointing, and I'd... More

We purchased a champagne afternoon tea voucher with Amazon having passed through Deddington on numerous occasions on our way to the Cotswolds. The hotel is positioned right in the middle of a delightful village with a green and square fronting onto a very attractive church. The interior has clearly been updated with wood panelling in one area and a heritage... More

This village is quiet with lovely houses and a few nice shops. It is well situated for exploring the area without the hassle of Oxford traffic. The Rollright Stones are nearby as is Banbury. The hotel is modernized but quaint with ample parking. I only had lunch there but the venison burger was very good indeed. The rooms appear recently... More

After searching the internet for several nights, we decided on this hotel for our 2 night break away. He hotel is located in a quiet pretty little village. The receptionist was pleasant and checked us in quickly. On entering our room we were greeted by a strong bleach smell. The room itself was clean spacious and had a 6' bed,... More

We bought a two night stay at the Deddington Arms Hotel in Deddington from Travelzoo. It was one of our best buys ever. Our room wasn't over large, but very well appointed with an en suite bath and shower. We were on a dinner, bed and breakfast tariff and chose from the 3-course table d'hote menu on both evenings. This... More

We stayed here for 2 nights midweek in August. The hotel was easy to find from the motorway & an ideal base to explore the Oxfordshire area. We visited Banbury, Bicester and Fringford which was the inspiration for Candleford Green (the TV series "Lark Rise to Candleford"). We also visited Blenheim Palace about 20 minutes drive away. Deddington itself is... More
