We are currently staying here at the fantastic laxness hotel for our second visit. Have spent past 6 days here and Loving every minute. We have been upgraded to a wonderful suite. Staff are lovely and friendly can not do enough to make our stay a pleasant and comfortable one. Two seperate evenings my partner and I have requested the... More

Fantastic four night stay at this lovely modern but charismatic hotel. Mountaiin views splendid from a large upstairs spacious room with three velux windows. Beds really comfortable and bathroom clean, fresh and modern. Grey line trips all bookable from reception. Well stocked supermarket and local bakers very close by along with fast food outlets such as KFC and Subway. Disappointingly, waffle... More

We stayed (2 adults and 1child) in a family room for five nights. The hotel is right near the turn of for the 'golden circle' and in a small town just outside of Reykjavik, about a 10 min drive from the city centre. The room was clean and warm and cosy ( if anything we had to turn the heating... More

I stayed in a triple room with friends in early April. It was my first night in Iceland and I felt right at home when I checked in, thanks to the staff. They were lovely people, really considerate, friendly and laid back. They provided info on transportation to and from the airport, grocery stores nearby, cafes (there's an excellent bakery... More

I stayed in a single occupancy at Hotel Laxnes during my 1 week visit to Iceland. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff who were willing to help me make my way to and from the airport as well as giving me recommendations for food and grocery shopping. The location itself is very close (walking distance) to... More

The hotel was a fantastic comfortable stay with excellent views and exceptionally friendly staff. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone! The room was well heated and very clean. The staff were very helpful with orginising tours and with information about where to eat and what to do in the local area. I can't wait to book again!

Booked a trip to Iceland to celebrate my birthday and chose this hotel due to the good reviews and was not disappointed. It is great being out of the city but very easy to get in by bus. Shaun the manager was very helpful and upgraded us to a lovely big suite with amazing views of the mountains. Plenty of... More

By their own admission this is a 3 star hotel, so don't be under illusion it's more than that. But this is not a slight or moan on the place at all, merely stating the obvious when reading other reviews saying they wanted more. I had such a fantastic stay here. Really genuinely enjoyed it. The staff before we arrived... More

Hello It seems you never got to see the Northern Lights and yes the hot tub is empty as it will cost a fortune to keep the hot water flowing all day long when not in use, so that is why we fill it up on request every night dependent on how the weather is . Not sure what Northern... More
