This was our second visit, our first being only a month before in November over fireworks weekend, both times being 2 adults and 3 dogs in owl cottage. We spent Xmas in the cottage and it was wonderful. The cottage is self catering so you're expected to bring your own things, but we were delighted to see they had left... More

This was our third visit to Badger Cottage and we have booked to go again! It is perfect for us and our 8 Dogs. The cottage itself is well equipped and comfortable. It is really warm and even the hard flooring does not make it feel cold. I believe there was a new boiler fitted since our first visit and... More

But......unable to walk in the woods as waterlogged. Surely if your advertising this as part of the experience then at least lay some kind of basic path. The local pub was lovely as were the beaches which we had to ourselves. On our arrival the wet grass at front was being mown which meant all week we just carried wet... More

I don't even know where to start as this place is just fabulous from start to finish. Myself and friend took our 5 dogs and 2 children for a week away to Woodland Cottages, which ticked all the boxes and more. The dogs absolutely loved it, the owners are so lovely they popped over to see if we had settled... More

The most amazing place, perfect for all you dog owners & romantics. Cozy cottage set in unspoilt countryside, empty beaches with miles of sand on the doorstep & absolute peace & tranquility. Lovely welcoming owners too, we've already booked a return visit

We stayed in badger cottage. .. there were four of us and five dogs. Cottage was lovely and cosy, well equipped and comfortable. You each get your own patio and then the dogs can run around in the big grass area out the front. Lots of walks close by. On Sunday we went to Barnstaple and joined the tarka trail.... More

Very affordable and really easy for the dogs. Cannot fault it. We had 5 dogs, the people next door had 7, the guest beside us had 2 then they left and... More

Crisp linen, clean towels, immaculately clean but really dog friendly. We visited with 4 dogs and stayed in Swallow Cottage. My niece, her husband and daughter were dog free but absolutely loved it and the 3 year old played with all the dogs from the other cottages on the grassy area outside the enclosed patios of each cottage. A rural... More

We visited Owl Cottage at the beginning of May. The week was wet and chilly. We did however manage long walks each day on the Tarka Trail or on the number of footpaths in the area. Our dog loved the freedom of the owners woods. The cottage was ideal having quarry tiles, a plus for when bringing a wet dog home. The gas... More

We have just returned from a week away at woodland cottages, with our five dogs. Ali and Tim were very friendly and helpful, and the cottages are beautiful and very dog friendly, our dogs loved it as much as we did, the woodland walk is great to stretch your dog's legs. I came back feeling very relaxed and can't wait... More
