We spent a week in one of the gites ... Excellent base for the local towns and day trips into Belgium. We visited a number of WW1 sites as well as long beach walks. The gite was clean and comfortable providing everything we needed for a leisurely break.

We stayed for one night at Le Chateau but could easily have stayed for more. The house has been decorated and furnished with a really interesting mix which gives it a unique feel. Loved this place. Everything all the other reviews say is correct. It's excellent and very good value for money. I felt like I was a guest in someone's house! The little touches were excellent. We stayed a night at Le Château before taking the ferry to Dover. It's a very nice building with beautiful decors and a familiar feeling throughout. We stayed here for 1 night after catching a late afternoon Eurotunnel crossing from Folkestone. It's about 30 minutes drive from the Eurotunnel terminal, and easy to find either by SatNav or the directions on Le Chateau's website.
