Overpriced. Charged me extra for a 6 month old even though we bought our own portacot. Wifi apparently only works in two of the units, even though it is advertised. Grumpy check-in man. Unit good, don't understand why motels provide ovens, and no overn proof cookware..

Balclutha is a great location to explore tha Catlins Y Highway Lodge motel is a good value, clean motel on the edge of town. Very helpful owners, advertised wifi a little iffy but other wise highly recommended.

We stayed at this motel in early May 2010. First impression from outside the units was good, they appeared clean and recently refurbished. The unit was well furnished.
