We were on holiday in France and decided to visit Barolo. We booked a room at il gioco'oca agriturismo. It was the first time we have visited Italy. We were made so welcome by Raffaela, the room was clean & comfortable the breakfast, served by Nonna was more than we expected, information on the area was as good as you would... More

The place is simple but cosy and you always feel welcome. Raffaela goes out of her way to help with anything. I come here every year to relax and simply fantastic. The breakfast deserves a special mention.

Rafaella owns this restored B&B about 1 km from Barolo. She went out of her way to help us plan our time there and how to get around since we didn't have a car. Rafaella does everything with a smile, including serving breakfast with homemade pastries and jams. There are several wineries within walking distance.

We drove down from Milan, to have a short layover near Barolo before moving on to Liguria. This little inn was the perfect solution. Small, quiet, and friendly...more importantly a reasonable price. Rafaella was very welcoming, and Nonna served us a wonderful breakfast on the terrazzo of fresh baked bread, apple cake, and hand crafted jams. Thank you for a... More

Great place to relax away from the world, surrounded by good food and wine. Raffaella is a great host sharing her knowledge of the region making reservations at restaurants and wineries with her local knowledge you are in for a food and wine education. The rooms are comfortable the environment is welcoming and it's great to have a dog to... More

We stayed here for three nights and it was excellent. The room was warm and inviting, clean and comfortable. Rafaella was a superb host with great recommendations and a friendly smile. She booked dinners and wine tours and was very thoughtful about this, and as a result she was on the money. Breakfasts were generous and yummy and made for... More

I stayed here with my family this past summer. We were a group of 7 adults and 3 kids. Everyone of us throughly enjoyed our time here. My children still talk about the wonderful breakfasts. Rafella is a very gifted hostess and made us all feel like family. We all plan to return one day.

We recently stayed here on a cycling tour. Raffaella, the owner, is an incredibly warm and helpful person, and having grown up in the area she knows all things about Piemonte...a great source of information for first time visitors. Her place, a converted farmhouse, is unpretentious, friendly and comfortable, and a convenient base from which to travel both by car... More

We stayed here for two night while visiting Barolo. Our host Raffaela could not have been more friendly or helpful She booked a restaurant for lunch for us on the day we arrived, and suggested places to visit and where to taste the beautiful Barolo wines. There was a glass of wine on arrival, wine and cheese in the evening... More

I highly recommend staying at the Gioca Dell'Oca for a relaxing visit in the Barolo area. We had stayed in the town of Barolo on our previous visit and much preferred this agriturismo stay. We were met at the entrance by Eva when we showed up and she got us into our room and made lunch reservations for us in... More
