Wonderful location - room 216 has double aspect views of the undulating hills of barolo, the castle of Barolo & on the other side the swimming pool. Good clean room. Comfy bed.. Breakfast ok.. It's not the ritz but a good clean hotel & good value well located for all your needs. It's the service that makes the difference. Family... More

We stayed there with the three Classic Car rallies, which we organized for 2015 (see: via-flaminia.com). The staff is very friendly. Always good to be in a family hotel. We did get a welcome drink in de winery. The food in the restaurant is exquisite. The rooms are good, especially in the new part of the hotel. Only drawback which... More

Super friendly people, rooms are extremely clean, decoration not my taste and somewhat outdated. Location is unique: in the heart of the Barolo town, with a nice well maintained swimmingpool (including bar with snacks), and off course, the Brezza winery. (the hotel is owned by the winery, as well as the restaurant). The views are as they usually are in... More

I could not have been happier with my recent stay at Hotel Barolo. The room was enormous and comfortable, with a little sitting area and a reasonably-sized bathroom. The air conditioning worked great, which was important in this 95°F weather. There was ample parking. The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful, from great table service at the attached restaurant... More

By and large a pretty nice spot, beautifully located to enjoy the villages of the Langhe. More than adequate breakfasts and dinner with pleasant, efficient staff. I must admit I had a problem with the TV they couldn't solve, but I only wanted to use the TV occasionally for news so,no big deal. Rooms were pleasant, clean, well cared for.

Really enjoyed my time there, comfy room and very clean, scenic view and wine tasting on Saturdays! all in the hands of the Brezza family, makers of really fine wines. Attached a very good restaurant too!!

Overall rating. *** (out of max 5). Downgrade because there is no pool in the hotel as stated in the description. Please be aware that in the whole Baraolo region the prices are high and you get less for the money than in other regions. Location **** (out of max five). In the middle of the Barolo wineyards. Room. *****... More

There are some pluses but also some minuses of this old, family-run country hotel. On the plus side: location, friendly service, reasonably clean rooms with traditional and functional furniture. On the minus side: very slow Internet connection, a breakfast buffet that needs upgrading and can run out of some essential items (bread, fruit, eggs), sparse bath room amenities (no facial... More

We had to laugh - after a trip of many notable highlights, our last night in Italy was something of a disappointment. I should add that most of this was not the fault of the hotel. On arrival our reservation was not recognised, despite a sheaf of confirmatory emails. Fortunately a suitable room was rapidly located, in the new part... More

Decided to extend our stay at Hotel Barolo to 2 nights. Great place, spectacular views, good restaurant, wonderful wine tasting and great family service. Pool was a life saver as it was very hot. (Keep in mind that one needs to wear a bathing cap, available to buy for a cheap enough price.) The family room we had was huge,... More
