Beautiful location on azure Rio Baker. Generous breakfast and 3-course fixed menu dinner served in lodge with a lovely deck; also a kitchenette in our two-story cabin. Lunch can be arranged. Unexpected benefit was excellent free WiFi service. This is a destination site, not near towns. Very nice service and facilities; definitely not roughing it.

This place is quite far from the capital of Coyhaique but strategically located between Cochrane and Rio Tranquillo, ideal as well if you have your own car! Indeed a must visit! After travelling for 2 days from Villa O Higgins on our way back to Coyhaique, we did a quick stop over in Puerto Bertrand and this is where we... More

The main highlights were the wood-fired hot tub ($50 additional charge) overlooking the magnificent emerald green river and snow-capped mountains at sunset. Truly outstanding scenery; spacious and very nicely appointed cabins with very comfortable beds, porches, wood stoves, and clean bathrooms. The food in the dining room apparently has experienced a sudden decline--or perhaps the regular chef was away during... More

Dear Customer , we are really sorry about your opinion , will it be possible that you could tell me on what date did you have dinner. I found very strange your comments because our restaurants is one of the best things that we have at the Green Baker Lodve and we had never have complains before. It will be... More

We opted for a three bedroomed cabin simply because it had a fireplace and the view to the river was perfect. We spent two nights there and being the end of the season we were the only people there beside the owner and his wife. The meals were tasty and the staff were more than accommodating. We decided to enjoy... More

Green baker lodge has excellent roomy cabins on a property that is alongside the one of the most scenic glacier fed rivers in chile. The dining in this restaurant is clearly the highlight. Authentic south american dishes were one of the highlights of our trip. I was on a cross country motorcycle ride and we stayed here during shoulder season... More

We had a great cabin overlooking the river which is incredible. The rooms were pleasant and clean. The activities were all very expensive so didnt do any although we had planned to before we arrived. The main thing here is the location with such an incredible stretch of river.

We were dearly disappointed in the Green Baker Lodge. We were incorrectly billed the IVA tax on our three-night stay for two rooms (no small amount at 17%). The tax should not be applied to foreigners paying with non-Chilean cash or with a non-Chilean credit card. We did not notice the error on the bill until we had already left... More

No booking, road trip, checking availability at the counter. We stayed one night (full the next day) in the small hotel. Excellent and comfortable rooms, very good restaurant, peaceful location. Definitely a place to stay longer and enjoy the outdoors, I am not a big fan of fishing and the place seems to a meca for fly-fishing, still we enjoyed... More

We traveled there as part of a multi-day guided tour with my in-laws (BTW- Ruth's Salvaje Corazon tour service is incredible- request Andres as your bilingual guide, especially if you like to fly fish). This place has it all. Clean, comfortable rooms (hairdryer a plus) set along the gorgeous Baker River. You can literally see the Rainbows in the crystal... More
