Was a fantastic experience to stay in an authentic Tulou passed down from generation to generation (not sure exactly how old it was, but was a few hundred years old). Such a nice homely experience and I would do it again exactly the same way if I were to return. Well situated in a quaint little town. Home cooked meals... More

We had a recent visit to Nanjing County and stayed in this excellent Tulou. Mr Zhang and his family were quite superb in arranging all our transportation and transfers. The Tulou itself is comfortable with smallish rooms, some en-suite. Excellent local Hakka food prepared by Mrs Zhang and her family. Their home-made yellow wine is wonderful and must be sampled.... This Tulou was also named the "Apron Tulou". I stayed in this very authentic tulou for 4 days 3 nights. This place was one of the very few tulous that is well equipped but not commercialized.
