Mirissa has many guest houses on the beach, one after the other. This one has the best location,a bit more distant from the others, at the end of the beach so very quiet, in an area with less waves, great for swimming. You also get the sunset. The large garden with hammocks is awesome for relaxing. At $75 a night... More

The title says it all, it is in the best location at the south end with great, big grounds. Huge area of grass, with palm trees, lounges and hammocks. The rooms are in good condition but this place is about the location and it's grounds. Perfect for families, we had to tear ourselves away from it. More

Rooms OK, cleaning could be a bit better. Terrific massage available, decent food at the restaurant, friendly staff. Beautiful garden with hammocks and swaying palm trees. Traffic from the road behind the hotel might be disturbing. More

Giragala Village is a very good place to stay in Mirissa beach. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Private balcony and breakfast served to your room. The hotel is on the beach, hammock and coconut treas. The hotel beach is amazing with a small breakwater that control the waves. The staff is very nice and available at any time... More

We stayed for three nights as a relaxing conclusion to our Sri Lankan travels and didn't want to leave! The location is perfect: the garden full of palm trees and hammocks is right on the beach, a short stroll from super little restaurants serving excellent fresh seafood and lovely curry. This place is a real find - good value and... More

Only stayed one night at the Giragala but it was pleasant enough. We had a cabana which was large with a good size bathroom. There was a large fridge in the room too, although the electric plug on this seemed a bit dodgy!! We also had a large terrace with tables and chairs and they served our evening meal on... More

Located at the end of Mirissa beach lies an odd looking building, big grass lawn leads onto the beach where a short walk brings you to the food and drink spots. The rooms are spacious and clean, some have aircon, others just a fan. All are on a bed and breakfast rate, where you will be served tea/coffee, fresh fruit... More

I discovered Mirissa through Tripadvisor forums. We chose this hotel because of it's prompt booking service, which is an acid test for small hotels. We were so delighted to find that the rooms were clean, air conditioned, and airy. There was no musty smell that one expects in seaside humid places. The best part was that the beautiful lawn, with... More

We arrived on Marissa at dusk and had planned to stay at Palm Villa next door. As it happened Palm Villa was fully book so we ended up here. Bring a party of 4 backpackers we were looking for budget and the room we got had 2 double beds which was fine. At 2000 LKR per night between us this... More

We stayed here for 5 weeks in March and April with our two young children (3 years old and 10 months old), and it was just perfect. Cheap compared to other places in Mirissa, and excellent staff who fell over themselves to help with children's food/beds etc. (e.g. without our asking they put a fridge in our room for the... More
