Kirklands House is far more than a bed and breakfast with the drive up to it instantly making you feel like you are at a country or manor house. We were wonderfully welcomed with a pot of tea and some beautiful (what felt like) homemade biscuits by the lovely owners who you always felt were there if you needed them... More

Stayed here a few times before and always a pleasure-the hosts Gill and Peter and lovely, friendly and inviting. The accommodation is always immaculate, in a lovely setting and the breakfast is 1st class. Well worth every penny.

We spent 2 nights at Kirklands whilst in Scotland for a damily wedding and wish we could have stayed longer. Gill and her husband made us very welcome with lots of little welcomin touches including fresh fruit and sweets in the room, a large flatscreen TV with DVD in our room and our choice of a large selection of DVDs... From the moment you receive your warm welcome at this B&B you will know that you have landed on your feet. The building is wonderful, and the grounds even more so. The rooms are spacious, comfy and well furnished. The proprietors welcome you into their home and make it feel like your own. The B&B is almost self sufficient with... More

This was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever seen. We are only sorry that we couldn't stay longer. Tucked away in a very small town, but well worth the trip. Wonderful hospitality, beautiful house, beautiful accommodatitions, beautiful gardens and grounds, delicious food -- we even got to meet the family pets! A definite place to return to... More

A little over 40 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport, Kirklands is a real hidden gem. First impressions are of a grand Victorian home, sat in extensive and well-maintained grounds – and the interior doesn’t disappoint either! Peter and Gill, the owners of Kirklands, provide a warm and friendly welcome to their family home. One thing is apparent when meeting them... More

We have just returned from a weekend at Kirklands and one of the first things we did was to head on over to Tripadvisor to make sure everyone knows how good a place this is. After a hearty cooked breakfast where everything (except the mushrooms) was locally sourced and unbelievably tasty. My wife and I spent Friday at the nearby... More
