Visiting Divyaa Lagoon was many first's for me. This is the first time ever that even after paying an advance the management insisted that we pay the full ammount on arrival(we realised why later on!). it was also the first time that we had to purchase food(bought prawns ad fish) from outside and get the chef to cook it for... In a nutshell the management sucks. They are simply devaluing this incredible location. The place is under-staffed and chaotic. The food tastes awful and the quality poor. They trapped us as well. As soon as we entered the hotel they insisted on full payment for the two nights. A first time experience for me where total payment is taken on... More

It's located in a lovely place in Kalpitiya, but it's not worth for $135 for a double room. The service is horrible. Same food over and over again. We planned to go for whale watching at 7.30 but the breakfast wasn't ready till 7.30. Don't stay in this place ever. The management has to get their act right. Pure ripoff.

In January 2015 we spent 10 very enjoyable days at Divyaa lagoon resort. We felt home from the first day. Main reason for us to visit Kalpitya was kite surfing. We were trying another resort options during our vacation but it was a nightmare for us. Divyaa lagoon resort might be not the ideal option for Kiter if the wish... More

The track to the resort from the main road was an adventure due to all the recent rain. At first sight of the grounds my heart sank with the unfinished look of it, but in fact going through the first courtyard things looked better, and the main restaurant and lounge area, which are very open, was spacious and comfortable and... My hubby and I stayed at Divyaa Lagoon when we went to Kalpitiya for honeymoon. We went Kalpitiya because we wanted to go on the dolphin safari (recommend to book the safari through Divyaa Lagoon and get them to recommend the company Ocean Lanka). Anw, the hotel was quiet, not many people were staying there while we were there. The... More

We stayed in Divyaa 7 days in December 2014. Unfortunately weather was awful, heavy rains every day and all the roads flooded. There was nothing to do. If it is sunny, then this place is ideal for kiting with its flat and beautiful lagoon. The rooms are good and spacious, but a bit too old (rust on faucets, etc). The... More

I don't like to write a review like this and this place, but I'm writing this just to inform the others how worst my experience there was, First of all I have to say that the landmark they given was not accurate. The lady (introduced later as the manager) who gave us the landmark was wrong and as a result,... More

The booking came through Royal Holidays local agent for one night 19th - 20th Aug, 14. The clients were 4 Chinese persons but there were 3 local guys along with them. The booking was for two singles and one double for a total of 4 persons. The hotel is sign posted and easy to get to with a left turn... More

This hotel tries to be something that it's not. The staff is very friendly and try to do it's best with little they have to work with. The room was fine(and was clean at our arrival) but it start to show the wear of time and AC might be a hit and miss. Ours did not work well at first... More

When we came here we were the only people. A nice stay if you like remote and peaceful places. Electricity is a main problem. The air conditioner won't work. Till 6:00pm to 6:00am, when electricity comes, the A/C will work. We won't get hot water too. But water sports such as kite surfing makes up for it. Some rooms even... More
