very welcoming and clam place if you feel like chilling there are many places you can select in the garden, or if you feel more adventurous you can go to the kite surfing school next door, go for a swim at the shallow beach, or go on dolphin watching. bit expensive for locals since everything is calculated in USD and... The place is run by at least five men, making it very uncomfortable and difficult for women.... The rooms are definitely not worth the money, I would no one recommend to stay here and when leaving after one night we found much nicer places!

When we booked this accommodation, we had doubts about the privacy of the rooms. Well, don't worry about that when you book a standard room. There are extra curtains, so you have enough privacy. The location is perfect, the food is great, the owner is great company, but the rooms and chalet are a bit too expensive. We wanted to... More

It is not five star, it is not simple either. We stayed in the chalet with outdoor living room. Everything is customised for you from fresh coconot juice to curry breakfast. Compliments to the cook! The trip out on the sea to see the dolphins was extra special with our encounter with a baby whale-shark. It is all very clean... More

My family and I stayed 3 nights at Diyamba which had already come highly recommended by a friend and it exceeded all our expectations. We saw hundreds of Dolphins during our sea excursion organised by the resort. Those who manned the boat were very informative on the species. We also enjoyed a visit to the Kalpitiya town where we took... More

This peninsula is up and coming according to guide books, a little visited destination offering kitesurfing, whale and dolphin watching. Problem: there are very few places to suit budget travellers. Those seeking to attract wealthy westerners style themselves luxury Eco-lodges and are situated on Alankuda beach, between a coal terminal and a naval facility. They charge at least two hundred... We stayed here for 2 nights at the e was memorable. Its done in the style of a beach hut with a mattress on the floor but in the setting very atmospheric. The toilet block is separate and everything was spotlessly clean. I would however warn travellers that the walls of the economy rooms are made of some kind of... More

I was lucky to stay at Diyamba for two nights in late September. It is a small personable resort, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was excellent! The focal point of the resort is the decking overlooking a lagoon/pond and the beach just beyond that. This common area is complete with comfy couches and a dining area, great... More

A wonderful place to relax in a very friendly atmosphere. Very good facilities, excellent staff and delicious food. You will feel very well taken care of. I strongly recommend staying in the bamboo huts. Unique accommodation. 👍

We stayed here unfortunately only for 2 nights, I wish we had time to stay longer. This place is a real treat, it was beautiful! Fairly new & so clean & quiet. The resort is small, we booked one of the budget guys and it was so clean and nice. Very basic but all you need! The staff and the... More
