My family and I stayed 3 nights at Diyamba which had already come highly recommended by a friend and it exceeded all our expectations. We saw hundreds of Dolphins during our sea excursion organised by the resort. Those who manned the boat were very informative on the species. We also enjoyed a visit to the Kalpitiya town where we took... More

This peninsula is up and coming according to guide books, a little visited destination offering kitesurfing, whale and dolphin watching. Problem: there are very few places to suit budget travellers. Those seeking to attract wealthy westerners style themselves luxury Eco-lodges and are situated on Alankuda beach, between a coal terminal and a naval facility. They charge at least two hundred... We stayed here for 2 nights at the e was memorable. Its done in the style of a beach hut with a mattress on the floor but in the setting very atmospheric. The toilet block is separate and everything was spotlessly clean. I would however warn travellers that the walls of the economy rooms are made of some kind of... More

I was lucky to stay at Diyamba for two nights in late September. It is a small personable resort, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was excellent! The focal point of the resort is the decking overlooking a lagoon/pond and the beach just beyond that. This common area is complete with comfy couches and a dining area, great... More

A wonderful place to relax in a very friendly atmosphere. Very good facilities, excellent staff and delicious food. You will feel very well taken care of. I strongly recommend staying in the bamboo huts. Unique accommodation. 👍

We stayed here unfortunately only for 2 nights, I wish we had time to stay longer. This place is a real treat, it was beautiful! Fairly new & so clean & quiet. The resort is small, we booked one of the budget guys and it was so clean and nice. Very basic but all you need! The staff and the... More

Our last station on our 1-month-srilanka-travel was kalpitiya, where we stayed at this beautiful resort. It was a perfect terminating rest and we really enjoyed every minute. The Diyamba is orientated to the maledives resorts and catches up a very similar feeling, due to it's great calm surrounding. The food is delicous and our room was a clean and comfortable... More

We spent a week in the resort, and from the moment we arrived, we felt that our stay would be a good one. We were not wrong. Set on the edge of the beach, 300 metres from the sea, the setting was charming. The accommodation (we booked one of the chalets) was no-frills functional inside, where essentially we only slept.... Very good food! We were overcharged (prices on agoda not correct?) And someone else booked our room while we were staying so we had to leave suddenly after only one night. Rooms are nice but very basic. Activitiez are quite expensive so there is not so much you can do.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the Agoda site. Agoda posts a price on the initial screen as part of their marketing that does not include taxes and fees. It’s true of all hotels listed on their site. When you checkout online at Agoda all those extras get added in and it adds up to... More

We enjoyed our stay at Diyamba. The hotel is really nice and a ideal place to relax. Snorkeling was awesome. All our family members enjoyed that trip. Special thanks to the staff at Diyamba for being so helpful and courtious. We will definitely go back to Diyamba. Thanks
