4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Spent last 3 days of two week holiday here - just perfect down time. Came here for the dolphin watching. Very comfortable cabanas with indoor bathrooms. Unmissable are the sunsets (best position is the deck chairs opposite the infinity pool), dolphin watching (blue whales if you're extremely lucky) and Rohan's full body massages. Very friendly helpful team of staff, wonderful... More

My wife and I have traveled extensively, and Palagama Beach really took our breath away. We stayed there for three nights and hope we can come back soon. Everything was perfect. The cabanas are nice and really comfortable; the little details around the grounds like flower-petal baths or colorful pillows in the sitting areas are quite thoughtful; the staff is... More

I've been to many places, including Mexico and the Bahamas, but this place just stole my heart. The cabanas are adorable, all the furniture and fittings are made of natural, locally obtained materials. The pool looks amazing both during the day and at night. The little huts with colorful cushions allow you to spread yourself and read, listening to the... More

Palagma beach was the start of our three week holiday in Sri Lanka. It has a number of places to relax and read a book, which was exactly what we did on our three day stay. The pool was lovely, the rooms are beautifully designed and are in keeping with the local area. The staff were fantastic and the food... More

This is not your place if you need 5 star service and 3 star kitchen. This is a small, pretty basic hotel/lodge right on the beach with a small swimming pool. How is that perfect you might wonder? They have extremely comfy pavilions/gazebos where you can hang out all day, read books and monitor you kids without an effort (as... More

We stayed here for four nights in their beautiful Sunflower house, the closest to the beach by a long way. Two adults and two children fit in very comfortably. The pool is gorgeous, the beach is beautiful and we often saw the local fishermen bringing in their daily catch. Food at Palagama was mostly excellent, I think they could improve... More

We chose Palagama Beach for a short stay, in order to see dolphins. So we booked a dolphin watching tour on our arrival for the following morning. After navigating over two hours early in the morning on the rough sea, we were already prepared to return back to the shore without spotting any, but all of a sudden, we were... More

Everything about my stay at the Palagama beach was perfect: the beach villas are so gorgeous with every detail taken into account (thatched semi-outdoor bathroom that still has a hot shower(!), four poster bed, comfy chairs, little shutters and sweet artworks on the walls), charming service and the pool was very inviting. If you want to get away from it... More

We have just returned from an amazing 5 day stay at Palagama beach and couldn't have picked a better place for our honeymoon. Normally I never write reviews but I am making an exception for Palagama beach as we loved it so much. Palagama has an authentic village feel, accommodation is extremely private and beautiful - we stayed in Rosa... More

We were a group of 15 adults + 6 children. We received a warm welcome from a charming Guest Relations officer, who led us from the main entrance through to the equally charming and serene 'Eco-friendly' retreat, with an inviting infinity pool, cozy villas, cabanas and obliging staff. We were booked on full board basis, and since we were a... More
