You can see the castle on top of the hill from miles away, but difficult to find the entrance up all the narrow streets, but worthwhile when you get there. You have to be taken to reception otherwise I don't think you would find it, they will collect you from the car park. The service at reception was efficient and... More

Dear fellow traveler, this is a nice place but the service is pretty poor. The SPA was very disappointing (they said are trying to improve the service, sure). Breakfast was very poor, tables were not even set, you just grab a chair and start looking for some food. The location is beautiful, the castle itself is amazing, shame the service... More

My husband and son booked a weekend away to Nerola for my birthday. It is a fair trek from Rome airport and was a little difficult to find, particularly when entering Nerola. The roads were so tiny and sometimes we had to back up as they were not wide enough for another car to pass by. I would definitely recommend... More

Was in Rome to visit family and we took a little road trip to Nerola to dine at the castle. The roads of course were small and we did not know that we had to "knock at the gates" for us to get in. It was quite nice to have the castle doors open up for us so we could... More

Castello Orsini is stunning, a real 10 century castle set on the hilltop with the most beautiful views in all directions. The building itself is magnificent and ad guests you have success to pretty much everywhere both inside and outside to explore at your leisure. The interior if the castle is superb and there are a multitude of beautifully decorated... More

This hotel was recommended to us by an American friend who has a villa nearby. She suggested the restaurant and spa. When we checked in, the nice lady at the front desk spoke English (turns out she is one of 2 staff that do and are not always at the front desk) offered us 2 different rooms to choose from.... More

Our experience at this castle left a lot to be desired. The location and the castle itself are beautiful, but apart from this, there is no reason to go. My first impression of the overall service at the castle was the gentleman who was kind enough to walk us to the room, but did not carry the baggage. I can... More

The Orsini Castle in Nerola, Lazio is a unique and historically remarkable place to stay. Built in the tenth century, and fortified in the sixteenth century, it has been beautifully restored and now houses a hotel. The castle is located just a few km away from Rome, and dominates the lush countryside of the Sabina. If you are looking for... More
