I loved the time I spent at this hotel. Located within an 18th century fort, you couldn't ask for more atmosphere. The rooms are very nice and the entire hotel has a wonderful feeling of somewhat faded elegance. The couple who own the place are extraordinarily friendly, helpful, welcoming, and accomodating. The owner's wife is an excellent cook - probably... More

We stayed here for a night, and loved the hospitality of Thakur Bhagwati Sinh and his wife Seema ji. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The food was amazing - a meal to remember! The hosts were very warm and welcoming, and gave us a tour of their beautiful haveli. We also spent some time on their... More

Shekawati is quite empty but this place is a rose in the middle. We stayed for one night only but were treated as honorable guests. Our driver was taken care for and we had the nicest and spaciest room we have ever had. We had long talks with the owner, food was outstanding. And all included in the price. The... More

A beautiful place - slightly faded but all the more charming for it, and run by The Thakur Bhagwati Sinh and his wife Seema, who are charming and very helpful hosts. Part of an old Rajput Fort which has been in the Thakur's family for many generations, The food is simple but excellent as is the service. We loved it... More

We drove to Mahansar with much trepidation but drove away pleasantly surprised. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable and run the place in a manner such places ought to be run - as a friendly boutique rather than as the last bastion of dubious royalty, which alas is the case with many similar "forts" in Rajasthan. We stayed only... More

Amazing place! A proper castle lovingly converted to a hotel by your hosts Bhagwati and Sima and their family. Its was a really great find for us - I don't think so many people come to Mahansar but its really worth it. The place is very quirky and original - totally unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. Sima is an... More

What a find! You get to stay with Rajput Royal descendants who make your stay unforgettable. Bhagwati and Seema Singh and their lovely family are just the most caring hosts you could wish for. Don’t confuse this hotel with the more expensive Narayan Niwas Castle Hotel which is located next door within the fort. The hotel is situated in a... More

Last month I drove to Shekhawati with a friend of mine to discover this area. He is also in travel business so we both were more interested to see some tourist destination. We took a drive from our base camp Mandawa to ramgarh, bisau and then we reach to Magansar fort on our way back to Mandawa. The owner of... More

The palace has 2 hotels, one upscale, the other (this one) a startup, both owned by different family members. This one is charming but draughty. Your hosts are Prince Bhagwati and Ms Seema Singh. Food is excellent vegetarian home cooking, you are literally being waited on by royalty. Ask for the upstairs room.

We arrived in Mahensar on top of the local bus and did not expect to stay in this absolutly beautiful palace. From the first moment when we met Bagvathi Singh and his wife Sema we felt like part of their family. We spend the evening talking with both of them, enjoying the best food we ever had in India.
