stayed for one night after getting off the late ferry from Picton. Good price for a room with double and single bed. Full kitchen facilities. Good size room with plenty of space. Because we arrived late, Dave had left the heater on so the room was nice and warm. Bathroom was older style, with walk in disability type shower with... More

We have stayed here a number of times. A clean and comfortable motel. Friendly service at check-in. Light and bright decor with a most efficient heater. Well equipped kitchen. We have only used the one bedroom units and have found them relatively spacious and convenient. A parking space available outside the unit. Situated in a street with many motels; a... More

My daughter and I stayed two nights (June 2015). Very welcoming and helpful owner. Unit was warm and comfortable, lovely shower and appreciated the make-up removal tissues. Easy walk into town. Would happily stay again.

First impressions were wow what a nice motel everything one could wish for a couple of nights stay. owner very friendly and obliging and let us have a late check out for 11am. Everything was provided even a stand free oven and flowers on table and even a special face cloth for women to remove their makeup instead of using... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. The accomodation had a good sized lounge, a separate bedroom and a nice sized bathroom. The kitchen area was well equipped with a stove with an oven (the first one we had come across in other N.Z. motels)! It was all very clean and quite modern. Stafff were friendly and helpful. It was about 12km... More

I booked this motel as I knew I was flying in quite late and it was near to where I had meetings the next day. I actually ended up arriving 5 hours before I had said I would and it was no issue with the check in and I was in my room quickly. The gentleman behind the counter was... More

We stayed here for one night in February, and chose it for its "10 minutes to the ferry" advert....but keep in mind that if you're heading for the early morning ferry, it could take much longer in rush hour traffic (so we left extra early) and with a car, it's an hour earlier check in anyway, which we didn't know...so... After 10 days in New Zealand and after 4 very old motels, finally a nice accommodation. Quite, cleaned and comfortable. Small kitchen equipped with all basic things to cook. Next time I will be in Wellington sure i return here. The price is right for the offered quality.

Looks like I am not the only one who has felt the acid tongue of the owners of this place. I got a bad vibe from the woman at check in as I had my 4 children in the car after a long day, asked if I could settle them and come back....there was a clear no. The next day... More

Unfortunately this guest was very agitated at check-in and did ask to settle the children in the unit before completing our registration process. Although I appreciated her situation as it was quite evident that the children were overly excited (and quite young), I felt it was not advisable to leave the children alone in the unit while the guest returned... Our room was spacious, lovely and very clean, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Would diffently stay again and found it to be very central to go into Wellington on the Train. They were helpful with things to do in the area,

Thank you for your positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our motel. We would welcome you back at some stage, but unfortunately the lease on the motel has now expired (November 3rd 2014), however there are other quality motels in Lower Hutt so I am sure you will find other accommodation in the area to suit...
