We had a wonderful stay in the Champers Motor Inn. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the city but a short drive to get to downtown Wellington. Also very close to the ferry. The room was very nice and very clean.

While waiting for the next morning's ferry to Picton, my wife and I stayed at the Champers Motor Inn in Lower Hutt. Check in was quick and the staff was very friendly. The room itself was clean, but it didn’t have an AC; as such the second level bedroom was very warm and made our stay a little less comfortable... More

After such a good first impression on a two night stay, I returned to Champers twice more and in total stayed for 6 nights. Clare and Ross made me welcome and were happy to help me with my arrangements for my onward trip to the South Island. The room was clean and fresh with all the essentials for a comfortable... More

We stayed at Champers in the run up to Christmas and till just after Christmas. We are actually from Lower Hutt but now live overseas and were back visiting family. We had a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor which was ideal given all the stuff we had brought with us - our two children slept in single beds... More

Thanks to the amazing Clare, I was organised within the first 20 minutes of being there - shuttles and taxis and general information! Took the chaos right out of the trip for me, The motel has a courtyard and lovely balcony space! Will definitely be making this my motel of choice for future adventures! Wonderful hosts - understanding, welcoming and... More

Stayed here for one night for function in a near by area. Lovely well laid out room, very comfy bed. Hosts were lovely, welcoming and very helpful with us trying to find our way around. Were also able to check out the night before which makes leaving in the morning easier.

Stayed in Wellington for the weekend for an event. Found Champers on Trip Advisor. Rooms were clean, warm, modern and there was plenty of room for the family to feel at home. Hosts Clare and Ross couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Will be stopping in again next time we're in Wellington.

Stayed 2 nights, second night a party was in another room. Without hesitation managers gave second night for free. Totally unexpected. Have stayed here before always friendly and accommodating to any requests

The owners of Champers are the most hospitable and genuine people. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed, which led to two great nights sleep. The breakfasts are amazing and set us up perfectly for the day ahead. I will definitely return to Champers

Travellers that would like to feel like they are staying with family should look no further. A quiet ( but so close to the beaten track ) means perfect place to stay while working in Petone , Lower Hutt or even Wellington City . Anyone who has a good sense of humour will thoroughly enjoy their stay at Champers. Great... More
