Friendly service at this place, which despite its very university-dorm-like atmosphere, was quite charming and homey. There's not much reception space to lounge around so you will get stir crazy if you stay here during the winter months. The rooms are nice, all wood floors, with fireplaces and compact saunas in the bathroom, but not very large for two people... More

Had a great time in Luosto. The hotel is nothing special and the food is average but you don't go for that. If you don't like snow and trees (in the winter) this is not the place for you. We had a wonderful cosy log cabin with log fire and sauna - just the place to unwind after a day's... More

The log cabins were excellent accommodation, rustic and the setting amongst four feet of snow truly magical. The cabin was comfortable and so warm considering the weather conditions. The Kelso log cabin restaurant was a ten minute walk. Our son enjoyed tobogganing around the resort which was so easy and fun. The food is simple but tasty but don't expect... More

We stayed as part of the Magical Interlude tour with Canterbury Tales - in search of Santa, so it was very cold and covered in snow. The accommodation was top notch. We had a log cabin - the studio type and it was perfect. The cabins are a 5-10 minute walk away from the main hotel. Not a problem for... More

I didn't stay at the hotel...I had my own camper in the parking lot in July. However, we had a great grilled salmon and super vegetarian pizza. It was nice not to eat in the camper for a change. The waiter, from Estonia speaking 5 languages, was super nice and accommodating. He gave us suggestions for where to travel as... More

A hotel with both rooms and separate log cabins. Friendly and helpful staff, several languages spoken. We live in another part of Lapland, amongst great cross-country skiing opportunities. Despite this, we found our week at Luosto a wonderful experience. We were there for a week in January, which is potentially too cold for skiing, but we were lucky with the... More

i stayed here for 3 nights in the search of the lights, fantastic little lodges, with saunas and fire... the reception and restaurant are in a main building and the lodges are spread arround the village with their own parking and snow sledge for kid's (and not so kid's)...

I havent stayed in the log rooms or the cabins, but the restaurant was great. Very pricey but better quality than is the norm. Well worth it- jsut make sure it is for a special occasion. Funnily enough, I think it may be better is summer autumn, the colours on the trees are truly phenomenal.

The only negative aspect of our stay in this hotel was that we could stay here only 1 night... If I could have changed our program, I would have loved to stay here longer, it was by far the best, the most romantic, the most charming place we stayed at during our 6 days long Lapland tour. We stayed in... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in one of Scandic Luosto's log cabins in December 2010. We stayed from 12th - 16th. The cabins are so lovely and cosy with a fireplace and sauna. They are dotted around the forest so it's extra peaceful and secluded - you definitely feel like you are surrounded by nature and will not be disturbed.... More
