Very tasty decoration, nice staff, huge room and hot water (not so easy in Ethiopia). Breakfast could be improved.Very well located. Offers if u come through any Tour agency. Ask for rooms with street view (bigger).

We spent two nights here pre and post a 3 night Danakil/Erta Ale trip. It's tricky to rate Ethiopian hotels as the standard cannot be compared internationally. We were vey comfortable and enjoyed our stay here. The restaurant is great (try the Shiro Bozena). There were some communication issues with the front of house and reception staff.

Didn't stay here, but the restaurant was very good - esp.the dry tibs and shiro bozana. The staff was very nice and professional - very rare in Ethiopia :). Avoid the Axumite wine, unless you love sweeeeet red.

I have stayed 3 times in Mekelle over the last decade and am wondering why things fail to change. Jordanos hotel is nothing more than adequate and the price is fair, but the standards are just not improving over the years and there is nowhere in the town that is truly well run and reliable where you can be sure... We have been staying there for 3 weeks, in total occupying 6 rooms, considering the country you are in, the place is good in all aspects, except internet coverage , food was fine long to wait and you never got what you ordered, but hat was part of the fun , I just saw the post of Peter who was... Stayed for 1 week and the hotel was as good as you could expect for where it is. The rooms were clean and tidy, hot water worked fine, Internet was sporadic, food was reasonable and the staff were very friendly Andy helpful. On my way back to UK I stayed one night in the Intercontinental in Addis and the internet... More

I stayed here briefly when in Mekele for a meeting. The rate was about $50 for two people in a double room and included breakfast which was a buffet. My colleagues who were in a room alone paid $41. The standard is okay, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby, bar and dining area are clean, the menu is... More

I'm tempted to call this our worst night in a hotel ever. Our room was one of the few without a balcony and therefore had almost no ventilation. This wasn't too much of a problem until the water cut out and we could no longer flush the toilet which, after days and days of eating Ethiopian cuisine, amounts to a... More

Everything looks good on the outside, but it was actually really bad. First of all, the key card to my room was not working for the first day; every time I wanted to go into my room, someone had to escort me to open the door. The bathroom was dirty (roaches nested there). The bathtub looked very nice; steamer, FM... More

I staied about one month at this hotel. As some reviewer gave, the restaurant was good and price was also not so high. The problem was internet connection, there was no wi-fi connection. Just one desktop PC was available in front of Bar counter. During my stay, there were many customers from various coutries, like German, USA, Italy, China, Japan... More
