We have just returned from a wonderful long weekend visiting Wiltshire and Somerset staying at The Somerset Arms, this is a fantastic, warm, friendly homely pub with great service and lovely staff. We were greeted with a smile and a request to take our bags to our room, the room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfy. Breakfast was a... More

My wife and I found The Somerset Arms to be exactly what is described in their listing. The rooms are beautifully refurbished and the whole place is homely and tastefully decorated, with logs burning in the fireplace. The bed was comfortable and great shower room and bath. The family running the pub/hotel are friendly and very accommodating.

I planned a long weekend for my boyfriend's birthday and unfortunately, we were very disappointed and wont be coming back. Breakfast not included- £10 for full breakfast and £4.50 for a bowl of cereal is a rip off. Wanted to have a bath on the first day and found pubic hairs in the bath. The room was cold, drafty and... Gotta love these small country pubs with their Victorian architecture and creaky floors. This family run pub leaves no details unattended from the quality of the food to the cozy fireplace and clean rooms. Great value, definitely recommendable!

amazing food, fabulous atmosphere and stunning accommodation, The welcome at The Somerset Arms is very friendly, warm and pleasant. The menu on offer is excellent as is quality of food. The accommodation is first class with extremely comfortable and well furnished rooms. The owners have welcomed pathetic participants and crews of The Forces March for the past 5yrs and our... More

Recently stayed at the Somerset Arms and would thoroughly recommend. Had a very warm welcome on arrival and shown to a lovely large room with good shower room. Dinner and Breakfast were both super - menu offered great choice and food was delicious. All served by David who was a very charming 'Host'. The huge king size bed was very... More

A perfect stopover after a long day at Longleat...decent sized room, huge comfortable bed, good ensuite although the sani-flol loo is bit noisy! Dinner was good value in the recently refurbished dining room and the beer cold...the excellent staff made up for any small niggles we had (which aren't really worth mentioning...) Would recommend to any one wanting a restful... More

Well what can I say...... Classic pub in the heart of Maiden Bradley. While we were there for 2 nights we got talking to locals which was very pleasant. All very friendly including the staff. We stayed in the £55 per night room which was delightful comfy and quiet for a pub. The bathroom had everything you needed which was... More

This hotel was a surprise for my birthday. Located in a quiet little village about 10 minutes drive from Longleat (why we were in the area). Parking is adequate and the reception is located in the pub. We stayed in room one, a gorgeous big room with huge bed and tall bath and a view of the countryside. The room... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 2 for 2 nights. The room was lovely, very clean and I liked the blue lighting in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and in my opinion the room was very good value for money. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere but that can't be helped and it was nice and... More
