I loved this place! We originally had only one night booked, but after arrival liked it so much, that we decided to spend our remaining time in the Wicklow Mountains staying at this place! Sinéad - the owner - was very friendly and helpful! It was no problem that we stayed longer. She is also able to give you tips... More

the following day. From village through the Sally Gap via Lough Tay (picnic lunch). Superb. Sinéad, thank you for your warm welcome and great accommodation. I really appreciated your recommendation for Byrne and Woods ( I was celebrating my 65th birthday). Sinéad made a booking for us (my wife and I) and even drove us to the venue as I... More

We had one night there and it was wonderfull. The owner was lovely and helpfull! She even booked us the next hostel in Glendalogh. The place is easy to get to from the wicklow way and it is also very close to Roundwood. Highly recomended! :) :)

A very friendly and warm place to stay. The facilities are to a high standard and also allowed access to a kitchen to prepare your own food. Wholesome breakfast is additionally provided. Well recommended.

Very glad to see that Skylarks Rest has not changed since my first visit a few years ago. This is a small cosy hostel / B&B just about 5 minutes walk from the lovely village of Roundwood. It is located on a nice quiet side road. It's not really a hostel and not really a B&B, it's a hybrid, but... More

4 of us stayed here recently while walking the Wicklow Way and were really impressed with it. Sinead who runs it is absolutely lovely. It is so clean and comfortable and excellent value. We shared a family room and it was spacious with a lovely en- suite. Our accommodation cost €100 for the 4 of us which included an adequate... More

Sinead was very helpful and considerate. Everything was very clean and organized very spacious Kitchen and living room. Roundtree is a short walk and was a very nice little town, excellent pub and live traditional music.

We stayed at skylarks rest ,with our daughters 11,8,6 yrs . The hostel was more like a b and b . Each room was en suite and was immaculate. Kitchen had plenty of equipment and complimentary items too. We loved our stay and hope to return .

While The Skylark's Rest may be a hostel, it has so many lovely features that made our stay wonderful. We hiked from Knockree on the Wicklow Way and appreciated the signs to guide us to the hostel. Sinead goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. And Roundwood hospitality was evident everywhere in the village.

We stayed at The Skylark´s Rest this summer (2014) for one night as we hiked the Wicklow way. The hostel is perfect. It is situated in nice village with everything you will need (from pubs, supermarket and ATM to beauty salon). The rooms are comfortable and very clean with free wi-fi. The hostel also offers entertainment for kids in a... More
