We attended a wedding here in July 2014. It was one of the best wedding venues I have been too. The day was a complete wash out but the venue is fabulous. Lovely old country house, great food & a great atmosphere. The staff were lovely and very attentive. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue

My wife & I attended a wedding here recently. The venue certainly has a 'wow factor' in terms of location & first appearances. The champagne & canapé reception & evening meal were top-class. However, I felt the service from the staff - while quite efficient - was a bit 'cold'. The bar downstairs was under-staffed & lead to long delays... More

Recently, we were in Ireland to attend a family wedding that included two glorious days experiencing life like what I imagine it would be in Downton Abbey! It was breathtaking from the moment we entered the huge doors into the hall to be greeted with champagne and petit fours. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and bent over backwards... More

I recently visited the bar of this establishment for a night out, the cleanliness of the bar and facilities left a lot to be desired as did the customer service. The management have a lot to learn. I would not recommend it and will certainly not visit it again

Dear JoJo, I am very sorry to hear you had a bad experience in our bar. Perhaps you could contact me directly to discuss this further as I would really like to resolve any issues, particularly such as customer service. We have gotten excellent feedback from the two private parties which have used the bar in the previous month but... More

We had our wedding here in July and as per the title, it was magical. We wanted something that felt homely and Horetown House was it, it was our home for the full weekend, and it was the staff that made it feel so. We had the run of the whole place and the staff accommodated us with lots of... More

Visited Horetown House recently to attend a wedding and enjoy the scenery in Wexford. What a fantastic location for a wedding! The whole place looked resplendent in the Autumn sunshine for the wedding. It didn't look bad in the rain next day either! All the rooms are extremely comfortable with lovely natural light streaming through the very large windows. Sitting... More

My wife and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversay and we were given this one night's B+B voucher for a present. The rooms were from another era, very old style and very tranquil. The food was excellent and plentiful, the staff friendly and courteous and made us feel very welcome. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a quiet romantic... More

We had a wedding here on Saturday last 25th January 2014, for our son home from Australia .It was fantastic. The food was out of this world, especially the beef. The wine was flowing and was lovely. We had a great day with only the wedding party in the hotel all day and night. Rooms were really nice and old... More

My son had his wedding here on Saturday. It was the most perfect venue. The dining room was ideal for a relatively small wedding (80 people). We moved to the Cellar Bar for music and dancing. This was so cosy, and the layout made it possible for guests to dance or talk. Kate was great, nothing was a problem to... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel for a wedding. The hotel itself is in a remote setting about 20 minutes to the nearest town but the remoteness of the setting just adds to the hotel. The food was excellent as was the service of the staff. This is family run hotel and the staff are all family members and they... More
