Visited Horetown House recently to attend a wedding and enjoy the scenery in Wexford. What a fantastic location for a wedding! The whole place looked resplendent in the Autumn sunshine for the wedding. It didn't look bad in the rain next day either! All the rooms are extremely comfortable with lovely natural light streaming through the very large windows. Sitting... More

My wife and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversay and we were given this one night's B+B voucher for a present. The rooms were from another era, very old style and very tranquil. The food was excellent and plentiful, the staff friendly and courteous and made us feel very welcome. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a quiet romantic... More

We had a wedding here on Saturday last 25th January 2014, for our son home from Australia .It was fantastic. The food was out of this world, especially the beef. The wine was flowing and was lovely. We had a great day with only the wedding party in the hotel all day and night. Rooms were really nice and old... More

My son had his wedding here on Saturday. It was the most perfect venue. The dining room was ideal for a relatively small wedding (80 people). We moved to the Cellar Bar for music and dancing. This was so cosy, and the layout made it possible for guests to dance or talk. Kate was great, nothing was a problem to... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel for a wedding. The hotel itself is in a remote setting about 20 minutes to the nearest town but the remoteness of the setting just adds to the hotel. The food was excellent as was the service of the staff. This is family run hotel and the staff are all family members and they... More

Having previously been advised that this was not a good hotel/house I went with my gut and booked a room. I really should have not! My expectations were quite low anyway and I was still disappointed. It is quite expensive and a bit grubby as well around reception. The staff were not helpful and also seemed quite disorganised and inexperienced.... More

Myself and partner stayed in the Lady Fitzgerald suite at Horetown House for a winter getaway break. It was a fantastic weekend and was exactly the rural relaxing getaway that we were looking for. Despite the small size of the hotel, the bar food menu was extremely comprehensive and the food was delicious! Admittedly, the bedrooms were quite cold and... More

We held our wedding in its entirety at Horetown House. From the initial consultation to the wedding day itself the service was impeccable. The venue is totally unique and the staff were amazing. Every guest commented on the excellent staff and the amazing venue. Horetown House is a wonderful example of a grand period property with a homely feel. The... More

We recently had our wedding reception in Horetown house in Oct 2013. What can I say.. it was such an amazing place, from great service, fantastic food, cosy marquee, antique rooms and to top it all off with such friendly and accommodating owners. Kate put our minds at rest on everything with her great organisational skills and with a late... More
