Food was good, chowder, burger & chips, potato skins, can't be faulted. The dessert was tasty but absolutely tiny and at €6 odd, frankly a rip off. Service was issue, started fine but then went downhill. Mains arrived asked for mayo & glass of water, neither arrived. No staff anywhere to be seen so went looking to get the mayo.... More

Ate here yesterday. Views amazing. Food fantastic. Salmon roulade a delight but the lamb took out. Loin lamb chops were boned and a little black pudding inserted where bone removed. Top notch stuff and very good value. The fantastic views and charming old bar are already written about.

Whether your looking out at spectacular coastal scenery in summer or cosy beside the fire in winter The Glyde Inn is always a great place to visit. Locally sourced produce and fresh fish feature on the menu but the steak is definitely a tasty treat!! Conor and the staff are always very welcoming and only too happy to guide you... More

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat on a sunny but chilly October afternoon. We were greeted in the lovely old-fashioned bar and our orders were taken promptly. When we asked if it was ok to eat outside, we were shown to the outdoor area which has the most amazing views over Dundalk Bay and the Cooley peninsula. This... More

This is a very handy B&B, I stayed with my friend for a nearby wedding. It is a basic B&B, but the price reflects that, it has a smashing view of the beach, from the bedroom windows. They open out to the roof top where you can also stroll out and have a look at the sea. There are lovely walks and... More

After seeing a piece on tv about this restaurant I decided to give it a go. The setting is amazing. They are the luckiest restaurateurs to have such an amazing setting on the beach and shame on them for ruining it. The outside area is gravel big enough to be called rubble!! With a couple of cheap bench sets, no... More

We had only Sat and Sun for a break, so did not want to fly to the continent or even drive to the West Coast. I heard about this hotel at a conference before. It was a perfect find! I really felt I was on holiday, despite being an hour away from Dublin! (depending on your start location hotel is... More

The Glyde Inn is located near the fishing village Clogherhead in county Louth. It has always been a family favourite to us whenever we're in county Louth. Service is excellent by friendly and organised staff. Food is fresh and delightful for good money. Glyde Inn is worth a visit.

had sunday lunch here on the 31st August and it was lovely as ever. Good wholesome food well presented and great value for money. Must add that Hugh makes the best ever Baileys coffee, yum. I will be back to try out the place on a saturday night!

Stopped by here recently for lunch. The Glyde Inn is off the beaten track but well worth visiting. The fish and chips were delicious and the fish was fresh having been bought that morning in nearby Carlingford. Location is excellent as you can have lunch overlooking the Irish Sea and beautiful views of the nearly Mourne Mointains. Vere of the... More
