Visited here from the USA to see my wife's relatives in Ireland - Really good food and good variety on the menu in Skelley's restaurant - desserts were great! And the usual good choice of beers in the pub - the pic of the fireplace on their website says it all - true Irish hospitality. Worth veering off the beaten... More

I stayed in Skellys b&b for 2 nights and I have to say it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and they looked after your every need. The room was spotless and the beds wer ever comfy. I had a stir fry for dinner and it was delicious. I really enjoyed my stay and I would highly recommend. Good... More

The bedrooms need to be cleaned. A small TV would also be nice seeing one might not get much sleep due to the noise from the bar. Can't believe that such bad B&Bs are still allow charge €70 for a room. Stay clear.

Spent the first two days in Ireland at Skelly's, The food was so far and away better than what we expected in was incredible. Great atmosphere and staff. This says a lot, it was the friendliest place we visited in all of Ireland. The Music the night we spent in the pub was Timothy & Wilson and I would go... More

What a warm and truly real Irish welcome! It was like coming home :) Extremely professional and so informal at the same time. Pat and his team were excellent and could not do enough. Loved the fact I could pick my own wine from the shop to have with my dinner! dinner was delicious but the breakfast was outstanding and... More

We have stayed at Skelly's on quite a few occasions now and we are always happy to stay there. Pat and his team of restaurant and bar staff are always very helpful. Food is great and the breakfast is a treat to start the day. We look forward to our next visit to Ballymahon and will stay at Skelly's without... More

I have visited Ireland more than 20 times and feel qualified to report on this fine establishment. The people who run this B&B are really wonderful service oriented. Pat Byrne and his wife cannot do enough for the visitor. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast just the best you can find. Do not hesitate to stop here...you will feel at... More

If you are in or near Longford, Skellys is the place to go (and not just for the summer Helium Ballon Festival! which we missed). The B&B is quiet, clean and very comfortable (spacious, clean rooms and showers!) and breakfast, if you go the whole hog, will fill your heart's desire. Best of all, the owner, Pat, was on hand... I've stayed here several times. The best of food, accommodation and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. If you want clean accommodation, good food, friendly staff in the centre of the Irish Midlands, look no further. John Wilson. U.K.

I stayed at Skelly's last night and shall be returning again next week. From the moment I walked through the door I received a friendly warm welcome from the staff and the manager Seamus & owner Pat were fantastic to chat to. The rooms are of high quality whilst the price is very competitive. I could not fault the place... More
