As a group of 7 we booked in advance but a delayed flight meant we had to change our plans. A quick phone call and this was no problem for Skelly's and they changed the booking. When we did visit we'd asked for several twin rooms but as they couldn't accommodate this they gave every one a single room -... More

I stayed in Skellys for the last two weeks in September when I was working in Ballymahon and all I can say is its a great spot. From start to finish I was looked after by an absolute gentleman called Seamus and couldnt have asked for more. The rooms were spotless and spacious (I was in room 1 the first... More

We celebrated a birthday party at Skelly's during the weekend and spent amazing time at Skelly's. Pat and other team members are simply amazing. They were all very helpful, chatty and great hosts. The pub is definitely an experience which you should not miss out if you are in Midlands. It carries many stories and family traditions which is not easy... More

A group of us booked into Skelly's to celebrate a special birthday with dinner and an overnight stay. We were given a very warm welcome and Pat and the staff gave us a wonderful time with a very personal touch. The dinner was excellent, we were given our own private dining room, and the staff were very attentive and personable.... More

Visited here from the USA to see my wife's relatives in Ireland - Really good food and good variety on the menu in Skelley's restaurant - desserts were great! And the usual good choice of beers in the pub - the pic of the fireplace on their website says it all - true Irish hospitality. Worth veering off the beaten... More

The bedrooms need to be cleaned. A small TV would also be nice seeing one might not get much sleep due to the noise from the bar. Can't believe that such bad B&Bs are still allow charge €70 for a room. Stay clear.

Spent the first two days in Ireland at Skelly's, The food was so far and away better than what we expected in was incredible. Great atmosphere and staff. This says a lot, it was the friendliest place we visited in all of Ireland. The Music the night we spent in the pub was Timothy & Wilson and I would go... More

What a warm and truly real Irish welcome! It was like coming home :) Extremely professional and so informal at the same time. Pat and his team were excellent and could not do enough. Loved the fact I could pick my own wine from the shop to have with my dinner! dinner was delicious but the breakfast was outstanding and... More

I have visited Ireland more than 20 times and feel qualified to report on this fine establishment. The people who run this B&B are really wonderful service oriented. Pat Byrne and his wife cannot do enough for the visitor. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast just the best you can find. Do not hesitate to stop here...you will feel at... More
