Fabulous modern hotel but with the stunning Balyna House too. Best of both worlds. 4 of us sampled the afternoon tea and it was amazing, every single tier. However, we were totally bowled over by the pastries....rival all other top hotels but for much better value. Really looking forward to going back and trying lunch another day. Cannot recommend it... We had our wedding here in October and seriously couldn't recommend it enough! We stayed in a deluxe cottage the night before the wedding as did many family and friends and we all loved it! They are clean, modern but also have nice vintage furniture to reflect Balyna house. The wedding itself went amazingly. The staff were wonderful and the... More

Attended a family wedding here at the end of October and stayed in one of the cottages in the hotel grounds. The cottage was plain but nicely furnished, but could have done with more crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils etc. Kitchen appliances were spot on - cooker, microwave, dishwasher etc. Beds were really comfy. Bathroom was nice but we found that... More

Called in to the newly reopened Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort for Dinner and was well impressed. The best bar food I have had in ages, service is friendly and efficient. Prices very reasonable considering it is one of the most luxourious hotels around. Must check out the golf course soon as it looks amazing. This hotel will do well... More

I really enjoyed my stay in MoyValley hotel. A friend of my wife was getting married there and they did an excellent job. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were large and nice, we ate a great varied breakfast, room was also good value. I'd go again.

Visited this hotel for lunch- having driven past many times not knowing that it existed! It's a lovely hotel, mainly used as a wedding venue (it has a lovely old house as well as the main hotel). Lunch was fantastic, great value. €9 for chicken curry with rice and the portion was very generous. I will definitely visit again. Staff... More

My husband and I recently got married in this magical venue with beautiful grounds. We have often eaten in the restaurant in the main building and we were always delighted with the food and service. The service on our wedding weekend was great, the food outstanding and Lynn the coordinator was amazing. She paid great attention to detail and had... More

Beautiful grounds all around the hotel. Golf course will make this place perfect for golfers. Receptionist was nice and answered all questions with a smile. Lobby is nice and his nice chairs for coffee meetings or lounging. Modern Room was large and had everything needed. Air conditioning/heat, small soap, usual shampoo, shower cap, tea/coffee, iron, board, safe, extra pillows, plenty... More

Stayed here for a wedding. The hotel charges premium rates but does not give premium service. The staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms, while nicely decorated, do not have the usual touches you expect from this price range such as bottles of water, plus the shower in my room was woeful. Balyna House (separate to the main hotel)... More

Was here for a family wedding. I'll be honest and say I expected more. The place is woefully spread out. Apts, Houses, hotel, Old house and golf club. No interconnectors. Clubhouse half a mile from hotel. Reception in old house, walk back to hotel for dinner. Rooms in hotel were nice enough. Nothing special for what sells itself as a... More
