We had dinner for a very special family occasion here. It was brilliant, it is such a welcoming place and the food was delicious with plenty of it to go around, one of the party said it was like dining as they do in Downton Abbey. The setting was perfect for us to enjoy a private family Birthday without other... More

We love it here. From the moment we arrive, we are made very welcome by Edward and Roisin. I don't know about coffee and cookies but we go straight for the whiskey beside that famous fire. The bedrooms are always impeccably dressed and finished with old world charm and character. All bed clothes, mattress and bath ware. they also bring... More

Had a wonderful stay in Martinstown House. Booked in on a Sunday afternoon, where we greeted with a courteous warm welcome and all our needs met effortlessly. The owner's son is the chef who used locally sourced ingredients to cook an amazing meal. We both had the goats cheese salad; soup and organic chicken. The food was fresh, hearty, beautifully... We arrived at the Martinstown House after long transatlantic flight. Edward, the owner, was at the door to greet us and take our luggage. He was so gracious, and while we were unpacking, brought us a glass of wine and a beer. After we settled into our room which was absolutely gorgeous overlooking the countryside, we came downstairs to the... More

We took over the whole house (6 rooms) for a family party and they couldn't have done more for us. It's a lovely house full of character and old world charm with big log fires and comfy sofa's with a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive and most helpful and accommodating. The both the evening meal and the breakfast... More

We had a great start for our Ireland tour at martins townhouse. The sitting room with its open fire is very cosy, the grainnees room is exactly as shown on the pictures on the webpage, the atmosphere is special and the dinner was excellent. The host made the stay special and made as feel welcomed. I loved it

We stayed for one night in this very charming, character-filled house using a Hidden Ireland voucher that we had received as a gift. We arrived in the afternoon and received a very warm welcome from Edward. After tea and homemade biscuits, we strolled around the grounds before settling in for the evening in front of a blazing log fire. Heaven!... More

Before I left I wanted to book my next stay . The attention to detail the warm welcome and the amazing surroundings made for a weekend I will not forget. Stayed here with seven friends and there is no other word to describe it than amazing . Edward and his wife make you feel at home the second you arrive... More

We were a group of 14 who arranged an AGM. Greeted warmly with excellent coffee, tea & delicious homemade biscuits and carrot cake in a charming room with a huge open fire. After the meeting we moved into a dining room where we were served efficiently and charmingly to a delicious meal of mixed flavours cooked to perfection from the... More
