We took over the whole house (6 rooms) for a family party and they couldn't have done more for us. It's a lovely house full of character and old world charm with big log fires and comfy sofa's with a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive and most helpful and accommodating. The both the evening meal and the breakfast... More

We had a great start for our Ireland tour at martins townhouse. The sitting room with its open fire is very cosy, the grainnees room is exactly as shown on the pictures on the webpage, the atmosphere is special and the dinner was excellent. The host made the stay special and made as feel welcomed. I loved it

We stayed for one night in this very charming, character-filled house using a Hidden Ireland voucher that we had received as a gift. We arrived in the afternoon and received a very warm welcome from Edward. After tea and homemade biscuits, we strolled around the grounds before settling in for the evening in front of a blazing log fire. Heaven!... More

Before I left I wanted to book my next stay . The attention to detail the warm welcome and the amazing surroundings made for a weekend I will not forget. Stayed here with seven friends and there is no other word to describe it than amazing . Edward and his wife make you feel at home the second you arrive... More

We were a group of 14 who arranged an AGM. Greeted warmly with excellent coffee, tea & delicious homemade biscuits and carrot cake in a charming room with a huge open fire. After the meeting we moved into a dining room where we were served efficiently and charmingly to a delicious meal of mixed flavours cooked to perfection from the... More

After leaving an earlier trip this summer, I immediately began planning another visit to Ireland and Martinstown House. It was like coming home again. Coming home to a fab property and engaging hosts. The dinner the last evening was a true "Downton Abbey" experience with great guests and lively conversation. THANK YOU Edward and Andrew! I'll be back again. Carol... More

This was a wonderful experience in a really interesting home, run by a charming family who did so much to make us comfortable. I would echo all the positive comments by other guests: a welcoming host, comfortable bedrooms, lovely furnishings, beautiful dining room and of course a delicious meal prepared by Andrew. The location is perfect for visiting the Curragh... More

This is a magic place, with great ambience, great hosts, and plenty of room for walks around the house and gardens, and cycling around the nearby lanes. Food is excellent, and the hospitality overall, including service and value for money, are all memorable.

We had our amazing wedding celebrations at Martinstown House in June. Edward & Roisin were incredibly helpful throughout the entire organisation process and went the extra mile to ensure the day was a great success. The food was wonderful and they have such creative flair and gave us the magical, intimate atmosphere we were looking for. The house and grounds... More
