Much quieter than Vesali Hotel where we stayed them previous night (see our review). During the day there is street noise but not in the evening. Dinner was nice (but the food wasn't as nice as Vesali Hotel). Wifi worked reasonably well during the evening. We rented bicycles for the morning. There was no ceiling fan but there was a... More

We liked the bungalow style rooms. It was more private. The staff and manager were nice. But the major hassle is the air-conditioning. It would quit several times a day, requiring re-setting by a hotel staff. When the staff that knew how to re-set wasn't immediately available they brought us a standing fan as substitution. After 2 days of such... More

Basic well situated hotel. You get what you pay for. The location is close to most sites. It is on a main road with some traffic noise. Nothing that was an issue. Rented an outdoor bike from the hotel and had a great experience going around. Staff is kind and will do what they can to assist you. Rooms are... More

Nice hotel, good for the location to move around visiting the most important temples within the town and being close to the local population. the staff are kind and helpful. The standard of the food in town is low and we ate well here, good choice for the venue and price. i would recommend it, you can book it via... More

OK hotel, but airconditioning seems to be a problem, they have a generator, but it seems to have not enough power. Otherwise, the rooms are ok. Restaurant is big and full of light. Helpfull and nice staff.

I was been there last month, 3 night during my visit in the beautiful Mrauk U. The place is lovely, simple, friendly, clean and I loved my stay there. Mrauk U is a true gem, (I know very well Burma Myanmar), called little Bagan. A kind young staff welcomed us with fresh towels and a cold drink. The room was... More

Arrived to prebooked meal. Chose chicken but received inedible chicken with tiny crushed bone throughout. Price was a rip-off at just under 5000. Staff could not wait to go home. Pros Mraak U is asuperb place to visit. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Two channel TV mostly in German. Cons. Small delapidated bungalows. Dirty bath and cracked... There are many interesting temples in Mrauk U unlike any others in Myanmar. But, it isn't easy getting there. So a comfortable place to stay is especially important. After many hours on a river boat, this pleasant place to eat and, then, sleep was most welcome. The Narawat is not an especially luxurious hotel; but it's plenty comfortable and has... More

Within easy walking distance of Shitthaung (80000 buddha) Temple and other ancient sites. Also well located for day trips further afield, although distances covered are extremely time consuming. From Mrauk U to the Maha Muni temple it is only 21 miles but will take at least 2 hours each way without stops due to road conditions. Very bumpy and dusty.... More

Your choices in Mrauk U are pretty limited, but the Narawat, while basic, is a good place to hang your hat while touring this unusual 'lost' city. Rooms are comfortable enough with plenty of hot water. Decor is locally inspired. At night it can get quite cold so better keep the bed spread on. The salient point of this hotel... More
