Whilst somewhat on the basic side, this place provides a good central point easy to talk to town and restaurants. The rooms were clean and tidy. We didnt mind basic but cleanliness was paramount and we can honestly say it met with our satisfaction in that regard. A pleasant stay.

Great location for touring northland. Clean and Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Studio small but compact and easy to self cater. If on a budget would definitely recommend. Looked at suite accomm and it did look better of course but we were on tight budget. I guess it could do with an upgrade but value for money it is hard to... More

This delightful Motel was a lovely experience and one I would repeat. While not a luxurious unit, the ground floor two bed, one bathroom units were well fitted out and had everything. So quiet you almost forgot there was a road out front. The units are super clean but the furnishings could definitely do with an upgrade. The postage stamp... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great looking colonial style property from the outside. Rooms are large and clean but very basic - walls are simply painted breeze blocks. Kitchen has large fridge freezer and decent hob/oven so would be excellent for self catering. Was quite noisy at night, partly from the Fridge and also hum from a electrical circuit... More

Visiting relatives nearby and convenient place to stay. Bed good, clean and tidy, however bathroom and toilet tiny and old fashioned. Place badly needs remodelling. Owners friendly and helpful. Small heated pool looked inviting but we did not have time or weather to use it.

We stayed for two nights arrived and made most welcome, free wifi for limited time found useful. Good cleaned tidy room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with tub, able to sit outside and overlook cove, kitchen and all necessary items you would normally need, plus laundry . Owners helped with booking day trip/s and hotel/ motel for next stop so most... More

We only stayed for one night in a studio unit as there was only two of us. The unit was so lovely and clean. The hosts were so helpful and made us very welcome. A good location close to town. We walked into the township and along to the Cruising Club which were very easy walks. I would recommend the... More

Loved our stay at the Acacia for lots of reasons but the main one was the great hosts Denise and Chris. From the moment we arrived they were so helpful with local tips on fishing, restaurants and attractions and we were given a King room with the most comfortable bed on the top floor with a beautiful harbour view. Loved... More

We stayed here a few weeks ago, booked the room through a travel site. We were clearly the only people staying in the hotel this night. We got the room right next to the office which was quite small. There was no free wifi, of course. I couldn't help but think since maybe no one else is staying here we... More

We stayed in a Spa Studio for 2 nights in June 2014 and loved our stay. Hosts Chris & Denise were excellent, helping us with our fishing trips, local restaurants, etc. Mangonui is a beautiful little harbour village and we know we will return. Superb location, off the main road down by the Cruising Club which made for a very... More
