Just returned from a great weekend spent at the Keepers Arms. There was 11 of us in our party and nothing was too much trouble for Sheila and the staff. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast perfect and the hospitality the best I have ever known. Will definately be returning in the future.

This was our third stay at The Keepers and again we have had the best of attention! We have enjoyed substantial breakfasts, varied dinner menus and welcoming hosts in Brian & Sheila while not forgetting their staff. This establishment is a gem in rural Ireland which provides the traditional Irish welcome, a great pub (the Guinness is first class!), comfortable... More

Called in for a bite to eat passing through but to be totally honest, I don't think I would go back. Don't get me wrong, the staff are absolutely lovely people, really helpful but the style of food served was not what you would expect in this day & age...a bit old-fashioned & not exactly noteworthy. I think their main... More

There were 10 of us (5 Adults + 5 children) this time, we were welcomed with open arms, fed and watered to the Max, the children (5)were allowed to play in the garden after breakfast which was great as we had time then to plan our day (with Sheila's expertize), I have said it all before when I wrote Spoiled... LOVELY room with all amenities, Shelia and Brian were great host, Shelia's bubbly personality was infectious, arranged/ suggested tours i.e. escorted tour of the Bawnboy Workhouse, and many other local hard to find attractions. Breakfast and bar meal excellent. Sad to leave,, suggested next location was spot on, another excellent, but different part/ landscape of this beautiful country

The b&b was very quiet when we stayed there but having arrived rather late, we enjoyed some drinks in the bar (which is below the inn) and played darts before heading to sleep. The bed and pillows were so comfy and it was probably the best sleep I had during my entire trip to Ireland. The breakfast was amazing and... More

We stayed for 2 nights and we were impressed. The room were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The Bar was very welcoming and friendly and the home cooked meals were fantastic. Sheila was a brilliant hostess which made our stay very relaxed after a hard days work.

Small and perfectly formed. Top marks for customer service and comfort. Website did indicate that accommodation was full but when I phoned there was availability so don't miss staying at this little gem for the sake of phone call. First evening we were late getting back and literally ordered food at minute to end of service but no prob. Breakfast... More

Showed up very late after along day tracing my husband's ancestors in nearby Swanlinbar. Brian welcomed us in and when he found out we had not eaten, he opened the kitchen and cooked for us even though it had been closed for over an hour. He sent us to our room to freshen up after taken out meal order, and... More

Just returned from a short stay in The Keepers Arms. Try as I might I cannot think of one bad thing to say about it. Its great from the start as the accomodation is situated over a public bar! Sheila's homecooking is to behold. Breakfast is excellent followed later in the day by an equally gratifying food experience as an... More
