Dinner for 2 adults and 2 children was expensive in comparison with other bar menus around the country. We were travelling around the country and had better food for less. Disappointed.

The Anglers Rest is perfectly positioned, serves good food and good beer and Francis will give you good information and is an excellent host. The rooms are very comfortable and more befitting of a small hotel than merely rooms above a pub. The breakfast is comprehensive to say the least, don't worry about booking in here.
