There are two great spots in Chatillon-sur-Seine where you must have been especially if you 're in the area. 1. L' Hotel Sylvia: Claude and Pascal run this charming hotel for years. It is quiet, warm and you have all comfort you need. It is also newly renovated this year. The breakfast is very convivial, with organic products. The jam... More

We stayed in this hotel with our young family as a stop over, a great find. Really friendly staff, wi-fi, memorably lovely breakfast with home baked bread and home made yoghurt. Our kids really enjoyed this in particular! Lovely character, a bit shabby chic and in need of a bit of attention, plus air con (in august) would have made... More

For quite a few years now, we've been booking rooms at this hotel for friends and family who come and visit us and are too many to accommodate at the house. The owners of the hotel have always been very attentive to any special needs like adding a small bed for a baby in a room, accommodating adjacent rooms together...... More

Pleasant hotel, nice owners, plenty parking, garages for bikes, reasonable breakfast with homemade products. This was our second visit and we will definitely stay again and recommend to others.Great location within walking distance of town centre.

Stayed here one night en route but would have been happy to have stayed longer. The building may look past its best but it is delightful inside and full of character; Claude and Pascal are very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were terrific being very well lit with multiple power points. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was really excellent... More

We stayed one night whilst on a road trip. This is a nice place to stay and has lots of character. However, the hotel is beginning to show its age, and in keeping with the whole town has a slightly run down air about it. We arrived at about 8.45 pm and like most of France this is getting too... If you want something old style French this is worth a visit. I'm guessing the hotel was originally created in the early 1900's It has a wonderful calm garden and terrace behind a large wall and wrought iron gates. (Where we sat and drank a local wine and had breakfast in the morning). Yes the rooms are old but everything... More

Room simple, but plenty of space and upstairs games room lovely place to sit and read. Monday night not a good night for eating in Chatillon, other hotel in the town does a reasonable meal, but not much else happening. Lovely little town. Hotel Sylvia has a great breakfast in quiet garden surroundings on the right day: food lovely and... More

Hotel Sylvia is starting to show her age but, in a sense this is part of the charm. Pascal and Claude's eclectic tastes make s a stay here a very enjoyable experience. Rooms are large and comfortable but some work could be done on the bathrooms (everything works though). For me the highlight at The Hotel Sylvia is the breakfast,... More

We stayed for 1 night and our room was large with windows on two sides. It was typically French and set in lovely gardens. The owners were great and couldn't do enough for us. We even got our own garage for the motorbike. The breakfast was delicious with lots of homemade jams etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
