We have stayed here for one night with our two kids 5 and 7 years old. The family room was large and clean. The owner speaks very well english and he was also very friendly. The room consists out good king size and a double pull out bed (couch). My opinion is that only small children can use this pull... More

My husband and I travelled to Normandy to visit the D Day Beaches. We chose this lovely B&B because it was in a small village near to the city of Caen. We had no idea how close we were to the coast and were so amazed on our first evening when the owner Alain suggested dinner at a lovely restaurant... More

Alain and Francoise run a lovely B&B in Basly, which is quite conveniently located in the heart of Normandy. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and surprisingly affordable! We stayed 6 nights in mid September and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Alain was very helpful in planning our days and in recommending good restaurants and even making the reservations... More

I agree with all written below. This is a very nice B&B where the owners really want their guests to feel welcome. The rose-room which we stayed in was fantastic. Large and cosy. And well isolated, se could barely hear the other guests althoug it was fully booked. The owners are experienced in hotel business and that is clear. Perfect... More

Alains efforts to ensure our enjoyment began long before we arrived in Basly. In his letter confirming my reservations he suggested that as Canadians we should stop in the town of Honfleur, since it was from this seaport that Champlain first set out for Canada. Alain brings a truly impressive resume to his Bed & Breakfast in this quaint little... More

Alain is a wonderful host, knowledgeable, interesting and very helpful. He gave us some wonderful recommendations for trips out - including dinner at the Marine Hotel at Arromanches. We stayed in the Rose bedroom, very spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom and sitting area. Great croissants, homemade cakes and jam for breakfast a good start to the day. Ideally... More

First, I should say that we arrived weary and with some laundry from our previous touring. Alain and his wife took our laundry, insisted that seeing Normandy does not involve laundry, and shooed us on our first amazing tour as he washed our clothes! Enough said but that was just the tip of our amazing stay. The breakfasts are scrumptious,... More

We stayed in the Loft for a week and could have stayed a month. Alain and Francoise are very gracious hosts, and gave us lots of good tips about things to see and do and places to eat.Basly is central to the D-Day beaches, Caen and Bayeux. The Clos will be our first choice the next time we go to... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at this excellent B & B. Our family used the three rooms on the first floor and liked the continental breakfast. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful, to include being very accommodating of our late first night arrival. We found the location very convenient for touring the area and think that the proximity... The b&b is located in a very nice square with a beautiful old church. The house is nice and the rooms are really wonderful. Alain is really helpful and he gave to us a bigger room at the same price (it was a lovely room but also the small one was nice). The rooms and the bathrooms had all confort... More
