In 2007 I wrote to you about TJ Ranch..As I said I've been going for the past 20 and now plus years. I know that what I wrote back then is true for all of you who have visited. It's still a beautiful place with great food, great hosts a place to rest and be in peace within the embrase... more

TJ Ranch is a wonderful, “off the beaten path” get-away where you really get a sense of life on this tropical island! My husband and I spent a few days there in June 2009. We had a terrific time for many reasons. Joan and Tony (and family) are great hosts. They made us feel welcome immediately, showed us to our... more

From the ride up the mountains and the spectacular scenery there I knew I was in for quite an experience. All this for such a reasonable cost and the food cooked by the master chef-Tony! Each dish was an experience of carribbean delights-cooked fresh using local ingredients. So much to do from taking a walk through the coffee plantation to... more

I agree with most of the reviewers for TJ Ranch. The place is beautiful, the owners are charming, and this is a perfect place to relax. I travel quite a bit, and I'm used to taking care of all the paperwork and finances at the begining of the stay.Instead, Juanita received us with open arms, and fresh orange juice. Both... more

We just got back from the "isla de encanto" and we stayed at TJ RANCH . We stayed two nights and it was very relaxing .It was very good hearing all the nature music all around . While taking a dip in to the pool.It was hard leaving after experiencing a restfull weekend. The owner's Tony & Juanita are great... more

The drive to TJ Ranch is hairy but beautiful - past a quaint lake, over and around incredible hills, and back into a lush rain forest. The setting is beautiful, tucked away in the midst of a lush jungle. That, however, was the best part of the experience at TJ Ranch. The three unfinished cabins they have are quaint, but... more

This is about as hidden a location as you can possibly find for lodging, which is what makes it so special. After driving through steep jungle roads, you arrive at TJ Ranch, which is in a stunning ravine in the middle of the mountains. It's one of the most beautiful settings for a guesthouse I have ever seen. The three... more

We were amazed by the lush tropical beauty of Arecibo. The T. J. Ranch is a laid back working coffee plantation. Juanita is an architect who designed the beautiful large open air dining room. The views are incredible and the dining room takes full advantage. We listened to the coqui (small native frogs) sing during the night and in the... more

We just spent 10 glorious days in Puerto Rico. 3 of those days we spent at TJ Ranch in the Arecibo/Utuado area of Puerto Rico. I can't rate this place highly enough. If you are planning a trip to Puerto Rico you HAVE to go to TJ Ranch. They only have 3 cabins, so book early to avoid disappointment. I... more
